Yahoo! Movies has released a series of new clips from the highly anticipated David Fincher film, The Social Network, which opens Friday. All in all, it just makes me more psyched to see the film this weekend. That is, if I can nab a ticket — After all, it’s already been hailed as one of the best movies of the year.
In terms of the newly released clips, one of the best ones is this short moment between Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield in which Eisenberg, playing Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, starts plotting out a loose plan for the groundbreaking site. Also, Garfield is for some reason wearing a sombrero, which makes the scene all the more awesome.
What do you think PopWatchers? Are you more or less excited now for The Social Network? Will you be seeing it this weekend?

I feel like if anyone ever writes a book about Aaron Sorkin, it should be titled “Smart Dudes Talking Really Fast.”
totally, mr. holloway. i’ve mentioned this before, but for some reason now that i’ve read about how fincher and sorkin have admitted that so much of it is made up i’ve lost some interest. but i’m a huge fincher fan so i’ll probably go anyway.
People do this in fact-based stuff all the time, whether it’s a composite character standing in for numerous ones or a scene that might not have happened but is indicative of a character’s mood or mindset. It’s still basically true. No need to get bent out of shape over it.
It’s not like they changed the characters from Asian to white, like Hollywood did with that movie 21.
Aaron Sorkin needs to come back to TV with a West Wing Spinoff…or Reboot!
NO! No more reboots!
A reboot of “The West Wing”…starring Charlie Sheen during Jed Bartlett’s younger years.
Great, now I have to clean vomit off of my keyboard!
I love Aaron Sorkin but I still don’t find myself as jazzed for this. Maybe because despite how good a writer he is, it’s not him writing what he wants too, but shoe horning dialogue into a specific story.
I’ll still go with my friends to this. They are more jazzed than I am cause its ‘history man. we’re living the facebook history’. they don’t have a friggin clue who Sorkin is. I’m a 22 year old who acts 50. ha ha
I’m a 19 year old girl with the taste of a 50 year old. I sympathize.
I was actually lucky enough to catch an early screening and the movie is brilliant. I’ll still be going on friday to see it again. It’s one of those movies where the dialogue is so fast and interesting you want to watch it more then once.
I agree with you! I too caught an early screening and loved it! So brilliant! I definitely want to see it again this weekend.
I agree with marie and Jamie. I saw a screening last week and LOVED it. I also lucked out and got to go to a screening where Aaron Sorkin, Jesse Eisenberg and Armie Hammer did a Q&A after. Sorkin told stories of how David Fincher made the actors do upwards of 100 takes to tire them out so their speech sounded more like a real casual conversation. And he talked about using interviews and the depositions from the 2 separate lawsuits against Mark Zuckerberg in building the story and Ben Mezrich was writing his book The Accidental Billionaires at the same time. Jesse Eisenberg was great in this movie and I have a new love for Andrew Garfield (and am now looking forward to Spiderman) and Armie Hammer. Justin Timberlake is also really good as Napster’s Sean Parker.
who cares about these two. we wish to know who the girl is within the blue gown
