There was nothing wrong with that video. Just some insecure mom’s who feel threatened! Was never a katy music fan, but have to defend her since she did nothing wrong!

Sesame Street needs some ratings… too hard to compete with Sponge Bob

I’ve been rewatching the muppet show on dvd & OMG you want to talk risque & dirty, that was it!ai!! I just couldn’t get over the veil Katy was wearing. that’s what i kept staring at!

I think America is too prudish about many things, but I also hate the fact that kids seem to grow up too fast these days and are being taught to be wildly inappropriate at a young age. My niece just started pre-school. She knocked into a little boy the other day and he called her a “b**ch”. That’s unreal. She’s 5. I don’t want my kids hearing those words. Just as I don’t want my daughter wearing revealing clothing. She can wear a bathing suit to the beach. But she can’t wear one to school. There’s levels of appropriate. If that makes me a hypocrite, I so don’t care. If you think those little girls watching Katy Perry on a kids show won’t start asking to wear inappropriate clothing, you haven’t spent much time with kids.

Kids can ask all they want! It’s up to the parents to say no. If a parent is so offended by what Katy wore, then perhaps they should use the opportunity to explain why the outfit is inappropriate, instead of creating all this controversy. The kids are noticing the controversy way more than if the skit passed without incident.

@ erin kids young enough to still watch S.S. shouldn’t really have a clue who she is if they do then their mom’s aren’t doing their jobs at that age my kids had no idea who most celebs were, and would’ve thought she was in costume, not thats how we dress everyday

If you think this is offensive you better not take your kids to the beach then.

As a few talk host stated. Miss Piggy has more cleavage than Katy. I saw nothing wrong w/ what she wearing. She was covered more than Miss Piggy. Who is a major character.

I think people forget that as much as kids are exposed to, it’s not like they are *literally* aging faster. No one young enough to be watching Sesame Street is going to react to seeing some cleavage.

It was a Tinker Bell outfit. It wasn’t a sexy costume either, it just mimicked the neckline the character has. Unless Tinker Bell is inappropriate for little kids as well then the reaction was overblown.

Families watch figure skating at the Olympics with more revealing outfits than this. Sadly, puritanical freaks are making a big deal of this.

  • billie

ok so have any of you seen the amount of cleavage on Ms Piggy? Im just saying! we go too far, it was not an overtly sexual dress my kids are past that age but I would’ve had no problem with it

  • Omg

Katy, some parents didn’t want their toddlers looking at your jugs. Get over it.

their real and they are spectacular!

They should ban children’s beauty pageants before pulling a plug on anything innocent like Sesame Street.
