if mel gibson was a true racist he would not have worked with whats his name from lethal weapon. OKAY!! the chemistry was there folks they were a pair. Did you forget?
The guy is an ACTOR for goodness SAkes!!! Don’t you think he KNOWS how to put personal views and Business aside in order to work?!!! We do it everyday!! Surely there is racism behind everyone’s door in every way!! We just got a hidden camera view behind his!!!!
I’d go see a Mel Gibson movie any day of the week. What I won’t see, is any movie made by that child rapist Roman Polanski. Think about this, who does Hollywood support more Gibson or Polanski? Answer Polanski and that speaks volumes for Hollywood.
What you say is though very true to about the Sick society Hollywood is!
I hate to say it, But anything Mel Gibson is an Imperative and Absolute NO NO for me!!
Why? because you used to fund his movies and or he was advertising your big FORBES 500 company products?? You will not make a diference in his bank account. He is loved all over Asia, Europe and even the middle East!! All he need to do is just like Johnny Deep move to France and keep making Billions (minus your $10.00 and money for Pop Corn in the movies)!! North America is not the entire planet Earth, there other countries in this palnet that are richer than Hollywood that are open for him.
To compare Lindsey Lohan to Mel Gibson is absurd. Lindsey’s addiction hurts only herself. Mel’s rants are offensive and provide fodder for hate groups. Without star status no one would pay attention to him. Therefore I would never do anything that provides this lunatic a platform which includes seeing anything with which he is remotely connected. Hopefully he will quickly fade into the background and no one will ever care what this hate filled idiot has to say. I don’t understand Jodie Foster’s position and am ready to also boycott her. She has a right to stand by her friend but we also have a right to show our disagreement.
I do not wish to be in Mel Gibson’s situation. He feels he is loosing his Daughter and as a father I understand that. Something in the relationship had trigger her to leave him and for a man of his maturity to behave like he is she probably pushed the right buttoms. Look, I went thru a divorce and my ex did things to me that tested my moral values to the point that I was close to beat her up and since I was a young child I promised my self that I would never touch a woman while watchin my mother being beat up by my stepfather all I can say is that you never know what is in people’s mind or what are their problems she probably cheated with a black man hence he was mad over the phone I say again I am not free of guilt or sin to blame or talk of anybody. I just pray for Gibson, his ex and daughter to have a better life after the storm.
And to all the bloggers, keep talking because no matter what you all have skeletons in your closets so fix your personal life before you all throw the first stone
This technologically advanced age in which we live enables us to see deeper than is really necessary into artists’ private lives. If we had the Internet in the ’50s and ’60s and could hear, say, Anthony Perkins’ voice mail messages, would these film companies (bastions of wholesome, steadfast moral fiber that they are) (not) still be reissuing his films today? If we knew everything about the private life of Van Gogh (never mind what we do know) would his paintings still be worth tens of millions of dollars? More importantly, would they be any less inspiring, stirring, or just plain great to look at? I don’t believe I would rush to share a cab with Mel Gibson “the person”, not that it’ll ever be an issue, and I disagree strongly with those points of view of his that have been made public. I would, however, pay to see a film on the basis of his involvement alone, as I admire his immense talent and profound artistry. Art is subjective. Film companies are foolish to prevent the flow of revenue to themselves and the artists (and prevent the masses from ever being exposed to perhaps a life-defining work of art) over the shallow babblings of an over-informed public. Stop bickering and go see a movie.
I disagree with most HOLLYWOOD actors…their lifestyle & politics. Mel Gibson I most closely agree with so HELL yeah I’ll see his film..and I think the BOYCOTT by Hollywood sucks.
To compare Lindsey Lohan to Mel Gibson is absurd. Lindsay is a mindless twit. PUH-LEASE. I could not care less what they say about Gibson. I love him..he is entertaining…I aint got to marry him..
I want to see a Rosie O’Donnell crotch shot.
The thing is Mel Gibson was one of Hollywoods and Americas most beloved actors until his divorce and yes meltdown. But do we throw away such talent and loyality to film making becasue he is having bad times. If so then we throw away everything whenever times get bad. I for one have had bad times and any of you not have bad times in your life. Give the man a chance to redeemed himself. His movies have had major impacts on my life and I dare anyone who is a seriuos movie goer to say they havenot on theirs. No not in life altering ways, after all they are movies, but like in the Man without a Face; what a lifes lesson that was that I showed to my 8th grade students on tolerance. Or Dying Young I think it was about lost long love. And the Patriot that was pretty history accurate and Braveheart what a film. So yes we can throw him away or allow him to get his life back on track and contiue to provide us with great films and performances.
Ive said it before and Ill say it again…Mel Gibson has done far more good things for people than most people in Hollywood
