To begin with, X-Factor is a fall show, Idol a late winter show, so they won’t coincide. Next, if the judges are your reason for watching, you won’t be missed. Finally, you can mute the comments of any judge you dislike, as I did with Kara, so you’re only depriving yourself if you stop tuning in because of JLO.

The only judge I’m happy about is Randy. I guess that’s because I’m not too thrilled about Steven Tyler OR J-Lo!! I wish they had picked Shania Twain and Bret Michaels. As for the ratings – it depends on the talent. Last season, the talent (overall) was not all that great!!

True Idol is going SOUTH~~ Not near as much fun as in the past! As far as the judges this season,this is where they’ve really messed up!! Should have kept Paula to bicker with Randy and just have chosen a nobody to add their 2 cents in for entertainment!! IT really is up to voters anyway!! We know when we hear something GOOD or BAD!!
I personally think 15 M is a sin to be paying anyone for sitting on this panel. It is shameful. /sigh

Fix the voting issue. Until the show can produce artists who will actually make money for their label, or be able to compete on the radio for Top40 spots, no one will take an American Idol “winner” seriously.
I’m sorry but I think I can hear the nails being pounded into the coffin of this series demise. Jlo is truly not worth $12 million as I am not really interested in hearing what she may say it takes to be a singer or a star. She is a gossip star created from her much publisized relationship/engagement to Ben Affleck and then Marc Anthony, her horrible films (GIGLI) and her apparent lack of getting any role or album to place on anyone’s TOP 10 LIST.
