  • Matthew McConaughey and Emile Hirsch will star in Killer Joe, a black comedy about siblings who ask a hitman, played by McConaughey, to kill their mother for insurance cash. He, undoubtedly, answers, “Alrigh’, alrigh’, alrigh’.” [THR]
  • Mickey Rourke will topline the based-on-a-true-story Ice Man, which follows the fighter of the Fire Man a man who led a double life as an assassin and suburban dad for 40 years. [THR]
  • News that is not dum, dum, dum, dum, dum: The producers for The Book of Mormon, the Broadway comedy from the creators of South Park, announced via press release that the show will open on March 24, 2011 at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre.
  • Forecast looks good for sunshine state-set The Glades: A&E has announced in a press release that it has picked up the Matt Passmore-starring series for another season.
  • Sam Riley will portray Christopher “Kit” Marlowe in A Dead Man in Deptford, which depicts the playwright as a royal spy for Elizabeth I. Does that make Shakespeare Marlowe’s Q? [THR]
  • Because its insatiable killer wouldn’t be satisfied just targeting Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Anna Paquin, Emma Roberts, Adam Brody, Lucy Hale, Marley Shelton, and Hayden Panettiere, Scream 4 has added Friday Night Lights star Aimee Teegarden to its extensive cast. [THR]
