'Gossip Girl' is back: What to expect during tonight's Parisian premiere

gossip-girls-premierImage Credit: Giovanni Rufino/The CWWhat did you do on your summer vacation, Gossip Girl fans? Well, it most likely didn’t involve as much couture and cute French boys as Serena and Blair’s summer sojourn in Paris, which will be seen on tonight’s GG premiere. The Parisian-set scenes with S (Blake Lively) and B (Leighton Meester) are, like a fluffy croissant, completely delightful. Most enjoyable is the veritable eye candy that is their respective wardrobes. (My fave is Serena’s sequined jacket-and-shorts ensemble.)

Of course, we are forced to say au revoir to Paris during the episode — back in good ol’ New York City, Dan (Penn Badgley) deals with his supposed love child with Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg). Most promisingly, Nate (Chace Crawford) meets a mysterious potential love interest named Juliet, played by Katie Cassidy, a.k.a. the best thing to come out of The CW’s horrid Melrose Place reboot.

Last season was undeniably a little off, but GG‘s quality seems to be back on solid ground: Next week’s episode is even better, with a truly wonderful train station scene between Blair and Chuck (Ed Westwick). After the jump, see a little tease of what you’re in store for tonight.

Are you excited, PopWatchers? Will you be tuning in for tonight’s Gossip Girl?

I’m kind of over GG, but if I do watch tonight, I’m sure I will only like that new character because her name is Juliet. Yes, I realize I’m a little too attached to Lost. And Joan’s husband is apparently going to be on, and I can’t watch him without wanting to throw things at the TV.

Really happy to hear that the season appears to be back on track – last season was a bit of trainwreck. :/

Put the show out of its misery please! I can predit the whole season, Chuck is miserable b/c apparently getting shot taught him nothing, which makes Blair miserable, random guest star love interests for both that amount to nothing, Blair is trying to be Queen of Columbia, Serena dates 50 people, her dad comes back still resolves none of her daddy issues, NSD triangle results in Serena choosing no one, Vanessa is still pointless and useless, Jenny still sucks, CB reunite in finale after a season long will they/wont they, yes you seen it before it was called S2, also the reunion makes no sense given the grativity of what Chuck did in comparison to what they have him do to make up for it.

    Why watch? :D

On my summer vacation, I watched all of the horrific season 3. I will be watching tonight, if only for Chuck & Blair.
