“From the beginning, you have watched others suffer,” says Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) in the new trailer, embedded below. “Now it is your turn.” Question, Jigsaw: Will we suffer because this 3-D final chapter might just be a gimmicky attempt to revive a hack-neyed (ha!) Saw franchise? (Especially after Saw VI‘s poor performance at the box office in October.) Or because you literally intend to inflict bodily harm on movie-goers? I vote the the second option, not just because Jigsaw completes his latter sentence with “…to play” (unfair editing alert, oops!), but also because the trailer seems to indicate that the Saw 3D theater experience will involve spiky harnesses, flying objects, and characters that will literally grab you from your seat. Eat your heart out, Matinee!
More frightening, to me, is the trailer for the Guillermo del Toro-produced horror flick Julia’s Eyes, which seems to have an appealing, twist-y plot (a woman with a degenerative eye disease comes in contact with all things spooky while investigating her twin sister’s death), complete with a whole Wait Until Dark-esque climax.
But I’ll let you make the final decision, PopWatchers. Are you willing to be Saw 3D‘s “last piece of the puzzle”? Or would you rather gaze upon Julia’s Eyes?

Julia’s Eyes.
never seen one..never will
Julia’s Eyes, easiest call of all time. Comes down to Guillermo Del Toro vs. crap, I’ll take Del Toro.
Cool. Torturound. Just what I want at my local theater.
I will see them both. I am capable of enjoying the outrageously tacky Saw films and a Spanish language thriller presented by Guillermo Del Toro.
Definitely SAW 3D for a fun time at the theater. I actually find supernatural horror like Julia’s Eyes to be more ridiculous and boring even.
Saw ALL THE WAY. Julia’s Eye looks gay.
My anticipation rating is:
SAVE ME FROM THE THEATER
I have no desire to see another saw film. These films got weak since the second or third. I think these should stop.
3D horror is such a great idea. I hope the 3D in Saw is as good as the 3D from the movie “Scar.” Even if it is half as good, this movie will look fantastic.
