Last season was super awsome..I knew they would win the Emmy! This season is ok..I was pissed when Kenny was cut (before Alex???)…and now Im pissed that tiffany is gone..so Im rooting for Angelo!
Ok, but seriously, isn’t Angelo gay? It seems when guys only go for obscure foreign girls that they can boss around and dominate, they inevitably are hiding a little dude-on-dude secret in the closet. He acts like the typical, bitchy gay puerto rican dudes you always see all over NYC. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate gay people – I just dislike Angelo for being a huge fraud with his mail-order immigrant brides.
Anyone notice the worst braces ever sported by that NASA nutritionist? Come on-are those titanium. Or was she just sportin’ a grill?
Kevin should have gone before Tiffany. He lacks the proper temperment to be a chef (who doesn’t so much cook as he manages a kitchen). Ed got horrific reviews on his restaurant in NYC by the NYT (Plein Sud) so his cooking is not up to par. Kelly seems nice enough, but she’s OCD and drives people crazy, so she is not really “top” chef material either. Which leaves Angelo, who handles his food and his personal self very well under pressure. I am not sure why all the hate for Angelo. The other chef’s are worried about him because they know the man can cook. I am still surprised that Kenny left so early. That was just awful. I look for Kevin to exit in Singapore.
I’m not getting why there is so much bellyaching about this season. I’ve been riveted!! Although the food may be a different style than the Volt. brothers (especially Michael), if you honestly put all the dishes from last season and this season side by side, I don’t think there’s such a huge difference. Thought this week was one of the rare times that Tom was overruled and that the judges actually had very different opinions — he was very adament he thought Angelo’s dish was too sweet, but everyone else loved it. Also, it seemed like Eric was really rooting for Kelly’s dish to win. Say what you will about Angelo — personally I think he’s just driven and super competitive — he brings out the other chefs’ competitive juices and has been the one they’re all gunning for since the start. First Kenny couldn’t stop trying to invent a rivalry, then Kevin and Tiffany took a personal dislike, now in the previews Ed’s main goal is to take Angelo down! Angelo’s the best part of this season, and I think both he and Alex were the victims of some Bravo villain editing. Can’t believe I keep reading posts from people indignant that Alex stole the pea purée — both Tom and Amanda have stated unequivocally that he made it. The producers are merciless in trying (and succeeding) to create drama — which is why they just won an Emmy.
Wish Kenny was still around, and will TOTALLY miss Tiffany … TC won’t be nearly as much fun to watch now. I’d rather watch Tiffany’s confessionals ANYDAY to those of Angelo. Just how many times can one reference making love to the food? Many, I guess.
I was so angry with the results this week! I don’t mind that Angelo won, I’m routing for him now, but I agree with many others here that Tiffany should NOT have gone home! That’s bull. It should have been Kevin, who is much too big for his britches, or perhaps Kelly. I really can’t stand Kevin; he is such a jerk.
Since they have gotten rid of Tiffany I WON’T watch!!! I never agree with the final winner!!! She was clearly the top 3, so why didi she go??? What reason????
Tiffany’s departure was both unexpected and disappointing…I am no longer interested in who the winner will be.
Maybe they will bring back some of the stronger contestants to try and “compete” for a spot back into the competition (e.g. Tiffany and Kenny)….it happened in New Orleans.
