Yes, folks, the 2010 Emmy Awards ceremony is upon us, and EW.com is covering it with the borderline-felonious enthusiasm of Glee’s Sue Sylvester training her cheerleaders for nationals. Log on at 7 p.m. ET as my chic colleagues Missy Schwartz (of the must-read Project Runway recaps) and Leah Greenblatt (seriously, I stop and gasp at her delish ensembles at least once a week) live-blog the Emmy red-carpet proceedings. At 8 p.m., my pal Mandi “special vampire correspondent” Bierly and I will hop aboard and provide running commentary throughout the Emmy telecast via the futuristic CoverItLive widget embedded below; we’ll try to pull in a selection of witty and wild reader comments, too, so get ready to multitask! Yep, that means you’ll need to keep one eye on the TV screen, one eye on the computer, and your mind’s eye focused on sending bad mojo to whoever prevented Vanessa Williams from taking her rightful place as a nominee in the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy category. What? You didn’t actually expect me to get through an Emmy-related post without invoking the name of the woman who gave life to Ugly Betty‘s Wilhelmina Slater, did you?
