On last night’s Late Show, David Letterman really, really didn’t want his favorite fancy businessman friend Brian Williams to appear on The Tonight Show anymore. Read the full post.

I watched the whole clip, and I don’t take this as Letterman really ripping on Leno in a vicious way – it’s much more in the spirit of an almost-friendly rivalry. In the early days of “Late Show”, Dave would virtually never mention Jay, and if he did, it was with very clear bitterness. That doesn’t seem to be the case any more.

Dave couldn’t dislike Jay that much, or else he wouldn’t have asked him to do that Super Bowl ad. Dave actually came out last year and said that NBC treated Jay poorly by booting him from “Tonight”; I think that helped soften his stance towards Jay.

Can’t wait to watch him on The Daily Show this week!

ooh, he’s going to be on again? Great!!! Totally agree w/other comments – he is great at comic timing & humor! I feel like part of what makes it so great for me, though, is that his job/persona is supposed to be serious. If he were actually just a comedian I don’t think he’d be that great! So kudos to him for versatility, and showing a great sense of humor!

The only time I watch Letterman is when someone’s on I want to see, like Williams. Letterman’s stich about Leno gets real old, real fast Last night sounded like pathetic whining.

It’s known all over the world that Letterman is a typical entertainer who thinks he is a god-he is actually a wealthy piece of garbage with far left liberal who doesn’t know his butt from a hole in the ground-Leno is a million times funnier-this man has no talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I don’t watch Dave anymore–got tired of him. I prefer Jay–much
    more funnier and entertaining.
Also like Craig Ferguson–he’s funny. Can’t stand Conan. Like Brian Williams-as anchor and as comic.
