That sound you hear (damp Kleenex landing in the bottom of a plastic waste bin?) is Bachelor fans’ hearts (possibly) breaking. Read the full post.

Here’s the deal. We all admire Chris for saying NO but if he is the next Bachelor, the show will have record ratings. He could attract the biggest audience and that’s what it’s really about!
Many people want Chris to be the next Bachelor but I’m glad really thought it over and passed. Quite frankly I am sick of the show rehashing rejects from previous cycles. Lets have a new a face for the next Bachelor please!
Listen to yourselves. Chris was already on the show. You are ptting him down by saying it is beneath him to be the bachelor.Obviously he knows that not all on the show are morons. He found love and can find it again. I liked Chris but it was Roberto from night one. Maybe Chris will find love at first sight as well. Good luck Chris. Love the pics of you Ali and Roberto on her fan page. Great to see you are all still close. Bless you.
I am so, so sad and just as relieved. You’re right- Chris is the most decent guy to step out of the limo in a long time. My first concern when I heard that he would be the new bachelor was that he’d have to go through weeks of date hell to weed out the wingnuts that would most certainly be chosen for his season. Can you imagine Chris on a date with crazy Michelle from equally crazy Jake’s batch? Run for the hills when The Bachelor comes knocking, Chris- we know the right, quality girl is out there for you somewhere.
How about letting him be part of the selection of the ladies competing?
