Of course people will pick the bad boy over the nice guy. But if this was a vote over who would be the best boyfriend? Im guessing most will pick edward. Needless to say he’s the most commited. As for Damon, he’s the one to give you a good time…but not settle down.
But this is about who’s sexier. While edward does have his sexy qualities, Damon’s adventurous, bad boy attitude wins my vote.
I’d still rather have Damon as a boyfriend. He is pretty fiercely loyal from what has been shown, has the capacity for true affection (I mean, he seemed pretty darn into Katherine), and is neither a creeper nor overprotective. Edward is not only less sexy and less attractive, he’s just downright creepy.

Again, get your friggin facts straight: The Vampire Diaries predates Twilight, book-wise. And just because Twilight-the-movies came before The Vampire Diaries-the-television show does not make it superior, it just means that Twilight has paved the way for much better versions of itself with vampires who don’t sparkle, aren’t creepers, and are genuinely interesting as opposed to Edward freakin Cullen who doesn’t have a personality to save his life, is a huge Mary Sue, and has ruined a generation’s expectations in a man to expect someone with serious issues to be the “perfect gentleman.”

Damon is some vampire who’s on this CW show that’s like Gossip girl mixed in with vampires. And he’s someone that would be nothing without Edward.
The Vampire Diaries is not Gossip Girl. I’ve seen both shows and seriously, there is nearly nothing in common between them except the network and an attractive cast. Gossip Girl is ridiculous soapyness that is somewhat endearing if you can stomach it, whereas The Vampire Diaries is actually well-paced arcs that don’t center around the romantic relationships between the characters, for the most part.

I totally agree with Amanda, Damon’s sexiness started with the books. The first Vampire Diaries book was published in 1991, whereas Twilight was published in 2005.
