I can’t think of any well-known actress that could embody MM. The only actress I thought did an intersting job was Ashley Judd in that HBO (I think) film where she portrayed Norma Jean, not Marilyn. Mira Sorvino was awful as Marilyn.
Brigitte Bardot is all up in arms over her impending biopic. Don’t blame her. Who could really mimic the sex appeal of BB?
I think it’s sad that they would make a comedy about Marilyn Monroe. They should really be doing a tribute to her. And Jolie – no, definitely not the Marilyn type. But please dear god do NOT let Scarlett Johnanson play her!! She is a brutal actress and I think would botch it up terribly. I’ll be sad if she plays that part.
Christina Hendricks is closest in body type and can act to that era. I love Jolie but she’s totally wrong for this part. She’s WAY too anorexic to play Marilyn Monroe. Kim Kardashian is curvy but way too dark.
I initially thought Johannsen would make a great Monroe but I had completely forgotten about Christina Hendricks! She would make a perfect Monroe!
