I loved the Twin Peaks homage — I fully expected to see Toby’s motorcycle reflected in Alison’s pupil, but oh well — and yet I wish the Ian story had seemed more organic. Toby, sure. Lucas, even, I would have believed. But who the heck is Ian?
He’s no Ezra, that’s for damn sure. Ah, Mr. Fitz, television’s most charming and handsome borderline-statutory-rapist. I hate that I’m rooting for him and Aria, but I kind of am? Even though his poem was blatantly awful? Maybe it’s Lucy Hale’s outrageously majestic locks that give the whole thing a Disney princess/Prince Charming quality…
Okay, PopWatchers, without spoiling info from the books (which I haven’t read), let’s put on our speculation caps and get guessing: Did anyone else get a super “you’re a murderer” vibe from Spencer’s prissy sister Melissa last night? Do you think A is someone we already know, or might it be someone we’ve yet to encounter? I know they “found” Alison’s “body,” but is anyone else kind of hoping the bitch is back?
I hope Melissa is A. It makes the most sense to me – she can’t stand Spencer, and would have been able to overhear some of the secrets organically. Also, I already can’t stand her.
I can’t stand Melissa b/c the actress who plays her dates Paul Wesley (Stefan from The Vampire Diaries!!)

It’s funny because I work in a hotel that Paul Wesley stayed at, and surprisingly he was a dbag, and Torrey, his fiance, was super sweet. Before that, I had the biggest crush on Paul Wesley.

I don’t think so because interviews with the cast like Lucy, Troian, Shay and Ian tell us that they are doing something entirely different. It makes sense because the show wouldn’t be able to hook viewers if people could just read the books.
I did think it was mona, but i think she definatly has something to do with it. I used to think it was mr.fitz but it cant be, it could be melissa, mona, jenna, and caleb. then my other guess would be ian, because he killed alison. this is a confusing show.

I think it’s melissa and jenna (who i’m pretty sure is alison) tagging against spencer- the warning on the mirror was the same color as jenna’s (but really alison’s), and melissa had the keys. both want revenge against spencer for dating ian… and i’m sure alison convinced melissa of a lie or something… i think the real jenna was murdered by alison with ian’s help, because i bet that once toby broke up with jenna (on the same day alison died), jenna must’ve threatened to tell on alison, who she percieved broke them up. i think alison stayed with ian while toby was at reform school, and then came back and now lives with toby. that’s how she knows all those secrets, and melissa can help keep her informed. i don’t think it’s mona though, since alison would have her number and probably could’ve sent her a text. also, i think they said that they changed a’s identity so that ppl who read the books could guess too… i think this theory also explains why a is trying to let the girls get a hint of who she is- alison wants them to know she’s still alive, but in a subtle way. melissa’s helping though, most definitely. now that ian’s done housing alison, which he must’ve done in order to guard the fact that he helped murder jenna, he goes after melissa, who still doesn’t know that ian’s a murderer… and doesn’t know the whole truth.
OMG! So true, bc Toby met with Ali before she met with Ian, so she must have killed Jenna and “replaced” her bc she turned and saw Spencer that day she was jogging! And Melissa is all la di da, I’m happy but pissed, she totally needs a drink or sumthing! I’m hoping “Jenna” is Ali tho Ooooo I’d love to she all the girls react. And she prob ran over Hanna bc she kinda became the new it girl thus replacing Ali, and she saw who it was, the shadow and fingeres looked like it was a girl, hmmmm

HEY, I loved her on One Tree Hill! I loved her psycho-ness. I also loved how she tortured Dan, Haley and Nathan cuz they all erked the hell out of me.
Melissa may be the murderer because her boyfriend,Ian was seen with Alison and she could have wanted to get rid of Alison. “A” is definitely not Melissa.
Hint: “A” is someone who you already know but he/she is quickly overlooked because our eyes and minds can sometimes deceive us. Sara Shepperd’s brilliant “A” character is cleverly disguised…well done for certain.

And now that we know about Alison and Ian, it totally makes sense that A is Melissa. I never thought of her as a possibility but now I am in love with the idea. I hated the implication that Ian was A. Who the heck is he and where did he come from??? lolz
I would also like to add that Melissa is played by the same actress who was Nanny Carrie on One Tree Hill so I am TOTALLY waiting for her to turn out to be a psycho murderer and kidnapper.

they have said they are not sticking with what happened in the book. that is already apparent based on the latest episode.
i read the first book only and in the books it said that Ian was Melisa’s ex boyfriend but he broke up with her because she had a “moment” with Ian and well Spencer thinks that she is the reason so she told Melisa to go to get coffe and well i dont know if theyre getting back together or what but know that i know that ian was with alison i think that when alison saw spencer kissing him she got really mad and i dont like alot the idea of a being Ian either i think that the guy toby was talking about was ian and alisson left with him so when alison told spencer that she was a i really dont remember i think that she was discusting or something she was doin it to torture her because he was really seing alisson and that because of waht she saw she told her brother and jenna(a few episodes ago) that spencer was the one who told all of them to throw the stink bomb but im still not sure of who is A right know i think its not only one person i think that its alisson and ian allthough im not sure

I thought it was Melissa, but how would she have all of the information? I wanted to find out what Emily buried and why lucas’ shoes were muddy. I’ll be mad if it’s someone we haven’t seen yet – how could they do that? It would ruin the show. If it is Melissa, then where has she been the past few episodes? Buy she DID have an apple computer which the video of Allison was playing on.
The best bets right now are Jenna, Melissa, or Mona. I still think it could be any of them. I’m also not convinced Allison’s dead…Did they ever do an autopsy? Lucas’ shoes were dirty because he was the one that destroyed the memorial. That’s why he felt guilty. I think that also makes him innocent. He looks way too guilty to be A.

I still don’t trust Allison’s brother and why did her family keep all of her stuff in the house when they left? And where is Mia’s parents? Where is Allison’s parents? Is it significant that we haven’t seen them? For the record, I don’t like Mr. Fritz. He’s creepy.

I accidently stumbled upon this a few weeks ago and am hoping for a marathon a la vampire diaries before is starts again. So, I have these odd thoughts, Emily seems like an idiot, Spenser is a slut (in the Twin Peaks way, you know who I am referring to), I really like Hannah and right now she is the only one above suspicion to me (no one was around for her to be shocked over Aria’s secret). Aria, well, I am a little suspicious of her. I keep thinking, is it that obvious? I am still suspecting everyone expect Hannah (and I really hope not Lucas) of being A.

I too am I fan of Ezra/Aria, I just wish they would do something more with that relationship. I felt bad for Toby when the police showed up, he looked genuinely terrified. I hope A is someone we haven’t met yet. None of the people on the show so far seem like they could have done it.

I think A is Melissa. That creep Ian was seeing both Spencer and Allison that summer, then broke Melissa’s heart. Melissa killed A when she found out. Melissa has no idea about Spencer also seeing Ian.
Or maybe she does, and she is exacting her revenge on Spencer by being A.

She’s so devious that could have been anybody’s body that they found. Yeah, it’s also weird that the family left A’s belongings in the house, which made me think at first that the “new” girl could be A.
