One of the best things about Edgar Wright’s forthcoming comic book adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is undoubtedly Chris Evans, who cameos as fictional action star Lucas Lee. What’s Lee like? Imagine a cross between Vin Diesel and a more smug, well, Vin Diesel.
The folks over at Britain’s Empire magazine have gotten their hands on a clutch of fake Lucas Lee movie posters that the Pilgrim team mocked up and they’re well worth a look. I’m particularly struck by how much the artwork for the Lee-starring Thrilled To Be Here (tag-line: “Spencer Jay is awesome. You’re welcome”) looks like the poster for the fourth entry in a certain Diesel-starring franchise. I’m also struck by how much I wouldn’t want to see Let’s Hope There’s A Heaven (tag-line: “Kiss Me. I’m Dying”).

The poster is cute, but not awesome since Chris is still wearing his shirt…….
“You Just Don’t Exist” (Tagline: Cole Hazard Just Got A Call Saying He Has 89 Minutes To Live…From Himself) The poster looks like a Bond film, but the tagline sounds like a cross of about 3 or 4 lame suspense movies. Could be a dopey fun flick!
