One of my favorite things about a Will Ferrell movie is the accompanying late-night promotional tour. A few days after serenading David Letterman with “Send in the Clowns,” Ferrell reunited with fellow Saturday Night Live alum Jimmy Fallon last night, where they discussed an old Canadian soap opera they used to work on together called Jacob’s Patience. According to the host, it was back in the day when Ferrell was still doing a lot of freelance arm modeling (Clearly, long before the days of Ron Burgundy’s “Two tickets to the gun show!” boast). See the clip after the jump.
That was more delightful than two faux handfuls of pickles. I didn’t even mind that Canada’s cell-phone technology was apparently light years ahead of our own, though that is cause for concern. Did the segment make you nostalgic for Fallon’s and Ferrell’s greatest collaborations on SNL?

I don’t know what I was on but I was seriously crying laughing during this.
Typical Fallon, can’t do a sketch.
Your videos never work on Chrome!
I use Chrome and I watched it just fine…
Doesn’t work on Firefox either
it worked fine in Firefox for me…
Why can’t that d-bag keep a straight face during a skit? It was painful to watch.
love that fallon can NEVER keep a straight face when working with will ferrell. still very funny though!
Is it just me or is the pocket watch during the intro a take on the hourglass used in the intro for ‘Days of our Lives’?
I’m constantly surprised at how much I love Jimmy Fallon now. I was one of those people who hated him for constantly breaking out laughing on SNL, but his show is hilarious. And yes, I love Will Ferrell. I guess I just have a sophomoric sense of humor.
It was funny but I wish that Jimmy could have done this sketch without laughing his a-ss off thus getting Will to laugh too. Melissa, it was and it was still creepy.
Well, this just threw advances the Disabled have made back several decades. Wonder how funny this would be to them if they had to use prosthetic limbs. This was lame.
Baaaawwwww!!!! :’(
Loved it, and I actually enjoy when a performer has trouble keeping a straight face. I think it makes it even funnier somehow
Maybe once in a while, but constantly?
The skit was funny but went on way too long. And I expected Will to use a meat slicer, cutting off pieces of the faux hand in the process. I would have liked that.
i’m pretty sure will ferrell ad-libbed some of his lines, which makes it even more hilarious
