Every actor or film has there own interpetation Of Bond. Personally I enjoyed them all. Trying to name a worst of the Bond film series is tough. Even the bad ones are better than half the crap that was released in theaters this summer. My personel fav is From Russia With Love.
Dalton was a great Bond. EW is a RAG.
Timothy Dalton was a great Bond!
I just canceled my EW subscription because EW IS A RAG!!!!!
I wasn’t surprised when I read this article concerning the possible demise of the James Bond Franchise. There really isn’t anything left of the Bond trademark in these recent films. The flashy opening credits with a powerful theme song, the peek into future technology that will become standard issue in 20-30 years. The strong female villans, the truly exotic places and cultures we came to know through a James Bond movie. The look into global relationships and their possible conflicts for governments in the future was always exciting to wonder at, These were all taken away. Bond pictures became like any other action adventure film….nothing special and now they wonder why it’s failing?
Will people SHUT IT UP!!! It’s NOT failing – both Daniel Craig Bond movies are 2 of the most successful in it’s entire history and Casino Royale was the biggest grossing. Why do people insist on just making crap up or misreading the situation??? Where does the EW article claim that the franchise is failing?? God, idiots!
EW is junk.
Bond will return…In Bond 23…in bondage, again, but this time…gravity…really…rules.
Best to Bond 23, and Daniel Craig.
Timothy Dalton did not almost kill the Bond franchise. Poor script writing and confusion over the artistic direction did. Dalton is an excellent actor and if he had been given the scripts Pierce Brosnan had, he would have seen more success. During Dalton’s time the Bond writers wanted to update the series and go ‘PC’ so they cut down on the violence, women and love-making resulting in two confused and boring scripts which unfortunately Dalton had to follow. If a lesser actor was in the role, the Bond franchise may have folded, but Dalton was good enough to make the movies passable. That was quite a feat that he never received credit for. Timothy Dalton didn’t almost kill the Bond franchise, he kept it living when the forces of PC had it slated for termination. That’s a pretty good stunt worthy of a Bond, James Bond.
I wouldnt know if james bond is dead o alive cuz I have just seen the show about his inventions and movies but he seemed that he would be dead of old age or maybe an acciddent in a film
