A star-studded new PSA promoting this year’s fundraising Stand Up to Cancer telecast (Sept. 10, 8 p.m. ET, on 14 networks) is effective, both in terms of hammering home what the odds are that we will get cancer in our lifetime (1 in 2 men, 1 in 3 women), and making me feel old. There are two young stars that I did not recognize. Thank goodness I’m up on my Spider-Man 4 casting, or it would have been three. Watch the promo below. Visit standup2cancer.org for more information and to donate.

It is a nicely done PSA but it also confirms my paranoia about cancer. Sheesh, let’s get some smart people on this!
My mother and my sister both have cancer right now. It’s not paranoia.
Good way of getting the message across!
And I am the one of one in three women.
I have a feeling that’s Zac’s normal face when he’s trapped on an elevator full of ladies – wondering how long he has before he’s ambushed
He rolled his eyes. A guy that rolls their eyes when stuck on an elevator with girls is probably gay. Dunno why you girls don’t realize this yet. The dude is batting for the same team. I guess that’s why girls pine over him so much.
Great PSA. Wow.
I usually don’t jump on the paranoia bus either, but my wife has cancer, been in remission for almost 9 months now. People whom I went to high school have cancer, some survivors, some dead. I live in a small metropolis in America, these odds have to be true otherwise I shouldn’t know many people who have cancer but I do.
I stood up to Cancer and nothing happened. How about donating to research
Yay, Cancer awareness! But also yay for some underrated young actors like Logan Lerman getting a shout out! Love him!

Nice ad.
