The inspiration to pay homage to Streisand, whose songs Aniston sings in the shower, came from her longtime “hairstylist and friend.” (Is anyone’s hairstylist not her friend? That would be so sad.)
Jen and Babs have in common because they both love directing and interior decorating. “Also, we are people who have been put in the spotlight, for better or for worse, and you just keep riding, and you keep overcoming, and you just stay true to what you love to do,” said Aniston. SACRILEGE ALERT: Aniston would like to outfit Barbra Streisand in “jeans and a great wedge.”
Is Jen a better Babs than Lindsay was a Marilyn? And is anyone else getting more of a Julie Cooper/Jane in Mad Men vibe than either Barbra Streisand or Jennifer Aniston in the cover shot? There are so many first names in this paragraph I may pass out. Allow me to fan myself with my fingernails.

Re: T.’s remarks, re: Barbra ? Streisand, or Barbara Walters?? Many jewish women have that shape of nose. It’s the culture, I’m guessing. As for Barbara Walters, not sure if you mean her or you misspelled Barbra Streisands’ name…BW is an attractive woman who just had coronary bypass surgery.
T, Barbra has the right to think well of herself. If you can be bothered to google she’s directed films which have been box office successes as well as critical success. Prince of Tides was nominated for 7 categories in the Oscars including best pic. Barbra directed and produced and acted in it. Barbra won best actress oscar and had also won best song as co-writer.
Now, Jennifer on the other hand – well, what has she achieved?
T. If you REALLY knew Barbra Streisand, you would not suggest that she’s egotistical. This woman, she’s a perfectionist yes…but she’s also battled stage fright, a.ka. anxiety. If that makes HER narcissistic, then I guess I’m in the same category. When she’s recording, she like everything to go off w/out a hitch. That’s Barbra & if u don’t like her, then so be it. I understand her, as a person, as a singer.
If Jennifer Aniston wanted to identify with Barbara she should have stuck with her own nose. How obnoxious and vain she is….a profile shot now cause she’s got that perfect little fake and knows it. I am so sick of her.

I’m sick of her too. Her personality stinks. Even in this interview, she whines about being “put in the spotlight” and “overcoming.” No one placed her in the spotlight==she’s been a fame seeker for years now. And what has she overcome exactly? It’s a sad state of mind to always see yourself as the victim at 40 plus years old. Shows her immaturity.
Barbra has a reason to think highly of herself. She is an iconic singer and actress. Jennifer is just another pretty face.

Aniston makes it very hard for me to like her these days. Why would she think we’d be interested in seeing her as the great and wonderful Streisand? Why would we want to look at a non-singing, vanilla version of Babs? The pictures just creep me out.
(And please don’t tell me there’s a mention of her ex-husband and his main squeeze. I could not abide to hear, again, how “strong” she is in the face of such public torment. Sheesh. But maybe she’s gone insane from it and that explains these sad picts?)

Isn’t Jennifer Aniston strange and creepy? She has nothing in common with this great lady. You said it perfectly. She is using Barbara Streisand instead of her regular naked photo’s to promote her movie this time around.
I agree Dana. Her homage to Streisand does not help her. Barbara is a talented actor, director, singer. She’s a unique lady and had great style. Jen has none of these things. I doubt Barbara would do a movie about impregnating yourself with a turkey baster and switching sperm with the wrong person. UGH.
Honestly, how obnoxious. Jennifer Aniston, while attractive, is a mediocre actress who does just about everything hoping it will keep her relevant. Barbra Streisand on the other hand chose her projects extremely carefully, and is extremely talented.
And as others have mentioned, choosing to mimic photos that only highlight Jennifer Aniston’s nose jobs is pretty funny.

Ok -I get it now-Anuston’s natural nose is alot like Streisands-but as you can see from the photo comparison above-Anuston poses like she is constipated -if that is her imitation of the Streisand photo next to it then it is very clear why Streisand is a legend and Anuston is a running joke with a pity party attached-if you look at side by side comparisons of Babs when she was younger you can she an amazing similarity that was probably alot stronger before all the surgery Jen has had to her nose eyes and chin-the hair is the same-but evn with that working for her she cannot pull off Streisand at all-it is still Anuston forcing her hand to try and mimic the graceful nuance that Babs is doing and Anuston has the same look of constidpation she had in the good girl and on the cover of “W”-this bee-yotch has 2 expressions -fake concerned or maybe stressed and fake interested in what someone is saying while thinking about herself-she has no depth or range and can’t even still pose mimic someone who looks alot like her-this is the definition of BAAAD ACTRESS
What does Aniston think is so trying in her world that she has to keep “overcoming” it? And she says they have been put in the spotlight, I disagree, she chose to be an actress. Aniston can choose to stop doing silly parts in her romantic comedies and being on magazines at any time and be a private person. How can a person complain about being in the spotlight while posing for a cover of a magazine? Please. And agree with everyone about the nose thing.
I totally agree. Her language is very telling. We were “put in the spotlight”? She must be joking. She was just on Leno selling her perfume. I also remember her many ads selling SmartWater (in the buff). She’s done a ton of movies.
She’s always doing interviews and photo shoots. She is definitely an attention seeker. What did she “overcome” anyways? Living in a Beverly Hills mansion? Only getting a 30 million a year paycheck? Oh. boo-hoo. She seems to want us to feel sorry for her. I certainly don’t.
The Aniston photo looks ordinary: just another person in a lot of make up! In comparison Streisand’s portrait demonstrates style and a powerful artistry. All in all, it’s pathetic!
