Unlike her tear-splashed courtroom face or those tragic pictures of her passed out in a car, Lindsay Lohan appears on the September cover of Maxim looking — dare we say it — good. In the interview, the 24-year-old starlet, who yesterday was transferred to a rehab facility after serving 13 days in jail for violating her probation, talks about her recent downward spiral and, from the excerpts, she seems to have been drinking some of the self-help juice, philosophizing that “this too shall pass” and “stay true to yourself always.”
Well, it’s going to take a lot more than Deepak Chopra-isms to win this Mean Girls fan back. What do you guys think of the article? Is Lohan winning you over? Will she ever?

I like her positive attitude believing that these difficulties will pass. However, if she doesn’t get her head screwed on straight, there will be a lot more to come. Being true to herself may be part of the problem. What she needs to do is fix what’s wrong with herself.
I agree with you completely. Being ‘true to herself’ has not exactly worked out so far.
I don’t think that taking drugs was her being true to herself (lame as that phrase is). She probably refers to acting.
Of course she looks good, I’m sure the photo is air-brushed within an inch of it’s life. And she can stop with the trite platitudes now, no one cares. We all know she is and will forever be a total trainwreck.
1. a little photoshop can go a long way towards hiding needlemarks, evidence of cutting, and bloodshot eyes.
2. “staying true to yourself” is only a good thing when “yourself” isn’t a f-ed up mess who is manipulated by greedy hangers on and family who do not in any way have your best interests at heart.
Unless she makes some major changes in her life, like living it without her mom always in her face for money, and giving up the booze and drugs she will never amount to anything.
She is a great lookimg girl. But as an actress , she is facing an uphill run. They all drink and get high, shes no different. Ease up on her america, you are no better.

LOL how much more “in shape” do you want her to be? Are you saying she’s too thin? I don’t understand. I think she looks fine (whether she’s mentally fine is a whole nother issue) and I’m tickled by the jail-striped outfit she’s wearing. I don’t especially like or dislike her, but I hope that she and other addicts will find the help and peace they need.

5/26 Arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles. Police reported that they found a substance they believe to be cocaine at the scene.

6/14 checks out of rehab
6/24 Arrested on five counts, including driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license and possession of narcotics. I think this when she carjacked those guys.
6/24 3rd rehab attempt.
there is more, but I think this enough evidence to logically see this is not a case of a twentysomething year old who likes to party.
