(That’s an additional 12 episodes.) Ratings for the series have grown 31 percent in the last four weeks in the show’s target demo of viewers 12-34. Potentially helping this boost in viewership? None other than floppy-haired pop star Justin Bieber. On July 19th, Bieber tweeted that he had just met the creators and that he found the show “funny.” That evening’s episode of Berger grew 9 percent in ratings. Coincidence? Probably not, given Bieber’s fervent fan base. But Biebs isn’t taking any credit: A rep for Bieber tells EW the singer is, “Happy he could help good people…if he helped at all.” The season finale of The Hard Times of RJ Berger airs Aug. 23 on MTV.

This show is straight up terrible. I gave it a good four or five episodes. But the line “vampire buffet in my panties” killed it. Period is not funny. Period.

I agree with Jess, this show was truly funny. I found the last two episodes to be very emotional. The end of the last episode was a HUGE cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to see what next season has in store.
I agree, and also: I dont think anyone with a name like “shinobi” has any say on whether this show is funny or not. Why? Because there are 2 reasons why you would put shinobi. You are 12 years old and are obsessed with ninjas. or you just “like the way it sounds”. Which if you are option 2, and you are influenced in such a way… then u are obviously mentally retarded and should go change your diaper while the rest of us watch this show and enjoy it like it was made for. I agree with you. Justin is just on the show to get the ratings up. I can’t stand him. It’s not fair that it only took him only a year to get popular and it took the Jonas Brother more than a year to get popular. And he seems to be more popular than the Jo. Bros. He can’t sing. I like some of his songs. He has no talent. The Jonas Brothers are way better than him. I can’t believe I’m his age. I wish he was younger.

I like the show. It’s funny and vastly superior to MTV’s ‘reality’ output. It is ironic that MTV keep referring to Hard Times as scripted programming considering how scripted most of their reality programming is.
