Style Hunter: 'Drop Dead Diva' answers!

drop-dead-divaWe love Drop Dead Diva for its sharp writing and brilliant lead Brooke Elliott as Jane, but we can’t help but gush over the show’s fashion, too. Style Hunter got plenty of emails that prove you guys can’t either, and now we have answers the two hot-ticket items from the show you’ve been clamoring for: Jane’s bedding and Stacy’s charade-playing dress.

For her bedroom, the crew decked out Jane’s bed in bedding from Anthropologie purchased two years ago. Hers is no longer available, but check out sister store Urban Outfitters for similar styles like the “Laerke” duvet cover ($58-68; and the “Antoinette Damask” duvet cover ($68;

Jane’s girlfriend Stacy (April Bowlby), never a stranger to a cute dress, sported Trina Turk’s navy and orange “Foxglove” dress during a game of charades. The dress is still available on the designer’s site in the opposite color pattern — and on sale ($149;

Tonight, Jane’s mom is back and Leelee Sobieski guest stars. Will you guys be watching? And still dying to find something you spotted on TV or in a movie? Email and visit the Pop Style area of to see what we’ve found.

    Love Drop Dead Diva! I can’t miss it.

      I totally love it, too, Donna. But it wasn’t Jane’s mom…it was Deb’s!! Am I right?????

    I love the show but they could do a much better job of dressing Jane, her jackets in particular. They are almost always too small, they look uncomfortable to wear.

      I love this show too. I believe they want Jane to wear clothes, as she did when she WAS Jane. However, now that Deb is in Jane’s body, yet Deb’s style was a lot different that the “old” Jane. Jane can’t dress as Deb, or the office would think something with her brain after she was shot.
      Do you know notice how Jane holds her hand and arms and swings her hair back. Deb’s feminity is coming out in Jane. Not that Jane isn’t, she is great. Love Jane!!

    I think Jane’s style is influenced by Deb and I think her outfits are nice & work appropriate. Jane (pre-Deb) dressed rather drab and now her style is a little more classic and she wears cute heels and has her nails polished. I love this show and think Brooke Elliott does a great job.

    P.S. Bring back Tony!!!

      I second this. Bring back Tony!!!

    I must admit I’ve never watched the show and am only vaguely familiar with the concept (model reincarnated as fat chick). So my question is, why doesn’t she just lose the weight?

    • Retromodgirl

      Why SHOULD she lose the weight? She looks fabulous as she is!!!!

    I really enjoy this show; I wish EW would start a TV Watch for it! Why is it that Style Hunter can almost never find the actual items that people are looking for? Even in this article, you have a choice of a similar bedspread (but not really), and a dress in a different color. I realize that a lot of things become unavailable or are specially made for tv/movies, but then what’s the point of Style Hunter?

    Great show and Swedishfriendfinder was very good

    I would love to know where the cami came from that Jane was wearing near the beginning of the episode this week. The stylist really does a great job on that show.
