I was fifteen and just learning how to drive. “I totally paused.” “He came out of nowhere.” “You try driving in platforms.” and “Everywhere you go has Valet.” Became constant phrases that would annoy my mother and terrify my father.
I love this movie and would never be emabarrassed to admit it. I still use quotes from it as my status on Facebook every now and then.
“Cher, what are you doing?”
“I’m captain of the Pismo Beach Disaster Relief.”
“And you think they need your skis?”
“Daddy, some people lost all of their personal belongings. Don’t you think that includes sporting equipment?”
I say “Ooh, Snickers…” all the time when I see one.
