I think everyone should back off of Mel Gibson and remember how he managed to capture a tremendous audience to watch the movie he so brilliantly directed, The Passion Of The Christ. He picked the right person, Jim Caviezel, to portray Jesus because Jim actually felt some of the beating and was struck by lightning during the filming which made the scene even more touching, but this didn’t discourage him to quit. There was not a dry eye in the audience when I saw the movie. Jim also refused any endorsements for advertisements to promote the film. By the way, Jim’s intials are the same as Jesus Christ (J.C.)
One man who was an athiest watched it and wouldn’t believe until his daughter asked him to watch with her and as he explained each scene to her, an overwhelming spiritual feeling came over him and he is now a believer. I think he calls it “The Passion’s Miracle”. Mel has brought millions of people to Christ Let’s not turn our back on him and judge/crucify him as Jesus was.
I feel Mel really loved his girlfriend enough and didn’t want other men drooling over her by the way she dressed. The so called rage he is portraying is just a cry for her to listen to his feelings. She was mighty lucky to have someone to love like Mel Gibson and should have respected his feelings and this would not be happening. Women’s rights are good to a certain extent but have ruined a lot of relationships and driven men temporarily unbalanced.
Lovely, we have a “blame the victim” post. No, it’s not her fault what happened. It is never ok for a man to verbally and physically abuse a woman.
So Mel is entitled to demand blow jobs and knock out her teeth if she doesn’t comply? Because as you said, she didn’t “respect his feelings?” Disgusting. I don’t remember reading in any of Jesus’ teachings that threatening to burn the house down around the mother of your child is OK. I’m sorry that you have a problem with women having equal rights in this country. Maybe you would feel more at home in Afghanistan.
I THINK MEL IS BEING SET-UP. HIS X SHOULD NOT BE TAPING PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS. THIS IS BAD FOR THE CHILDREN AS THEY WILL SEE THIS ON T.V. AND COMPUTER.SHE NEEDS ADMITTANCE TO HOSPITAL. SHE IS NOT CONSIDERING THE CHILDREN. SHAME-SHAME-SHAME
Oh, please, give me a break. Mel is just being a man; he is Everyman. Those comments were not intended to be public. The Christian track record has never gone easy on women. The men take a hard line with women and livestock. Let’s see. The Book of Genesis blames women for the cycle of birth and death on the planet. Huh? A good excuse to give her a nice beating. Then, Jesus himself berates domestics. This is why work horses and servants of all kinds are lashed with whips. We’re not important. Get used to it.
My fellow america please use your common sense. If you plan to record some bodys vice for some legale purpose, you try to show yourself very inesent and the other other side very bad guy. so these records doesen’t mean any thing.I THINK SHE USED HIM.
