Image Credit: David M. Russell/CBS; Sonja Flemming/CBS; ABCFor the second time this summer, I’ve left my apartment for a week, returned home, and discovered that my DVR had room to record all the shows I’m watching. I should be happy, because there’s nothing worse than your DVR running out of room and not taping the episode you were dying to watch, but it’s making me a little sad. I mean, not only do I have enough room to tape the multiple reruns of Three’s Company that air daily on TV Land (I want to know if season 6′s “Some of that Jazz” still makes me cry), but I also have the space to keep storing some season finales. I’ve got:
• The Good Wife I sometimes find it comforting after getting sucked into Wipeout to be reminded that I do appreciate quality television for adults.
• The Big Bang Theory Frankly, I should probably delete this because I felt a little too much for a Best Buy Geek Squad agent working on my laptop last week because he reminded me of Jim Parsons.
• Lost I hadn’t watch the show for seasons (post-traumatic stress from fact-checking a few Doc Jensen features for the magazine), but taped the series finale. I had no idea what was going on, so I just fast-forwarded. (Still sobbed at the moment pictured.) I guess I’m hoping I’ll give it another try.
Your turn. Which of this year’s season finales have you yet to delete from your DVR?*
* I also still have Boston Legal‘s 2008 series finale, because I miss the balcony scenes.

Lost and Glee are still saved. Have I watched either since the finales originally aired? Nope…still can’t bring myself to watch Lost because I’d start sobbing again.
Grey’s Anatomy. It was one of the most “had me at the edge of my seat” finales I have ever watched. A amazingly well thought out and entertaining ending to an otherwise mediocre season.
It’s one of the best season finales ever!
Haha same for me!
I keep saying I’m going to watch Lost again but I still can’t. It’s too sad!
I’m so glad I’m not alone.
I can’t watch the Lost finale again either! but I can’t delete it!
If I had a DVR LOST would never be deleted. EVER!
I saved the Lost finale for about 6 weeks because I couldn’t delete it, but realized that I wouldn’t be able to watch it again so I finally erased it.
Same here, Lost and Glee. Glee is actually saved because my Dad loves the episode so much, surprisingly! We’ve watched it twice now since it aired.
I haven’t watched the finale again and I probably won’t, but even seeing it on my DVR list makes me feel good.
I feel lame! Lol.
My DVR was running out of space so I closed my eyes and deleted the LOST finale as fast as I could… A quick death… I had the pre show, finale and jimmy Kimmel aloha to lost so I had to get rid of the six hours of space. About ten minutes after I deleted it I watched it online
Lost, of course. I don’t know if I’m ever going to erase that. Not having Lost waiting in my recorded shows list is just going to bum me out.
Me too!
It’s nice to know I am not the only dork out there that still has LOST on my DVR! It will stay on there until it comes out on DVD. Everyone in my family doesn’t even question it either…sigh….it does make me cry too, but I LOVED it, it was so well done.
Lost!(plus like three other of its episodes), 24, Glee, Flashforward, and Supernatural!
Lost, duh. It will probably stay there forever. I can’t let go!!!!!!!!
Co-signing with Madd. I’ve seen the Lost finale once and want 2 watch again before I delete it.
But if you don’t let go, you’re going to be stuck in the Sideways TV World forever.
You need to have your own version of Jack’s “I died” moment. (“‘Lost’” is over?”)
Where’s Christian Shepard? He needs to help me let go and explain that “There is no now…here.”
Not only do I still my the “The End” from “Lost” in my DVR, but it’s somewhat of a tradition.
I’ve always kept the “Lost” season finales recorded until I have the DVD in my hands.
On the other side, I WISH I hadn’t erased the “Justified” season finale because that cabin shootout is too badass for words.
I can’t count how many times I rewatched that scene. I deleted it by mistake. Meant to erase an earlier episode of the show.
You’re not kidding.
The first time I watched it, I rewound the moment where Raylan took out Bo Crowder’s henchman with two quick, up-close pops to the mid-section like 10 times. (And that’s not even a slight exaggeration.)
I didn’t DVR the Justified finale….I really wish I had though so I could’ve watched it over and over again. Or I could’ve just paused on a shot of Timothy Olyphant and stared at it for six plus hours. What? Don’t act like he’s not dreamy.
Madd, Olyphant is crazy HOT!!
I’ve done the same tradition with LOST (keep entire season until I have Blu-Rays/DVDs)…but I just don’t know if I’ll be able to delete that finale! I need my Target Smokey commercials! lol
Justified. It was so, so good. Also Glee, but really: Justified. (and I’m surprised no one has mentioned it yet.)
Lost. But I haven’t been able to bring myself to watch it again. I also have David Tennant’s last Dr. Who, but again, haven’t watched it. I’m not ready to watch either without sobbing again.
Still have the last episodes of Scrubs with ZB.
supernatural
I might be ready to watch the Lost finale again….maybe.
LOST, GLEE, HOUSE and GREY’S ANATOMY, but it’s only until I get the DVD
LOST, of course…and Bones…did i forget to mention I have ALL of season 5 of bones still on my dvr…i promised myself when the new season starts, I have to delete…but it sure makes it hard to record new shows during the summer when the dvr has an entire season of 1 show on it….ah well, i’ve accepted it.
Still have LOST’s “The End” on my DVR, and it’s been handy for a good cry every couple of weeks since it aired.
I still have the final episode of ER! I miss that one!
I kept the finale of ER for a while… Your comment made me wish I still had it.
i will NEVER erase the ER series finale. that final scene with the pan-out and the original theme music … chills every time.
Glee. And I have watched at least 20 times since.
