  • Robot Chicken and Adult Swim have announced via press release they will premiere Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III Dec. 12. Zac Efron has signed on to voice Anakin Skywalker. So fingers crossed for a song-and-dance number “I Can’t Take My Eyes Off You…On Lake Naboo.”
  • True Blood‘s Sam Trammell will appear in indie crime thriller Guns, Girls and Gambling. The actor will play a sheriff working with a corrupt sheriff (Dane Cook). The partnership works because Cook has also been associated with things that suck. [Variety]
  • Aidan Gillen (The Wire) will play Littlefinger, manipulative adviser to King Robert who uses his royal influence to get his hands on Tyrion Lannister’s Butterfinger, in HBO’s Game of Thrones.  [THR]
  • Timm Sharp will replace Mos Def on Mike White and Laura Dern’s Enlightened. [Deadline]
  • Paramount has picked up a pitch from writers Willie Block and Jake Emanuel, a “high-concept action-adventure story [that] mixes original ideas with the framework of the traditional Hunchback of Notre Dame story.” The film would apparently be in a style similar to Pirates of the Caribbean. In that case, we’ll look forward to Christian Bale’s Mick Jagger-inspired depiction of Quasimodo. Because Bale would look great in guyliner. [THR]
