When it rains it pours. Just ask Lindsay Lohan. As the troubled 24-year-old prepares to head off for a 90-day hitch in the pokey for violating the terms of her probation, she’s now being hit with the cold reality that she’s also persona non grata on-screen, too. After all, the actress is nowhere to be found in the latest trailer for her upcoming film, Robert Rodriguez’s Machete. The Mexican avenger flick, which grew out of a faux trailer within Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s 2007 drive-in double feature, Grindhouse, comes out on Sept. 3. And while earlier clips from the movie hyped Lohan as part of a huge — and impressively bizarre — ensemble cast that includes Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marin, Jeff Fahey, and Don Johnson, the latest teaser is suspiciously Lohan-free.

Coincidence?
Well, maybe. But the snub couldn’t come at a worse time for Lohan, who, let’s face it, doesn’t have a lot else to look forward to this summer. It goes without saying that she (and her fashionably chunky black ankle bracelet) won’t be able to do much to promote the film as it prepares to hit theaters. And it’s totally understandable if they wouldn’t want her at the film’s premiere and press junket anyway since all anyone would want to talk to her about is her newest role behind bars. So, is the latest Machete clip a sad sign of things to come? Will Hollywood want anything to do with Lohan after she’s paid her debt to the California legal system? Or is her career beyond repair — unless we’re talking about playing the lead on Dr. Drew’s Sober House?

I saw this trailer on AOTS and was floored at the cast even without LiLo. This movie is either going to be very good or very bad.
As for LiLo’s future it’s up to her to finally get her act together. I didn’t see anything in that courtroom that proved that she had either remorse for her actions or respect for the court.

Shes in like one scene of the original trailer. I would hardly say she was “hyped as a major part of the film” Jessica Alba has more screen time in the trailer.
But she had her name in the credits for the trailer, just like all the other players “JESSICA ALBA….LINDSAY LOHAN…MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ” et. Now she is not on the actual trailer, and her name isn’t even shown.
After looking at her handwriting…she could try a new career in court reporting.

Come on, it is not a coincidence. The worst part is that in any other normal circumstance, having a cast member in jail would actually help create buzz for a film. Lindsey is so badly regarded in Hollywood, that she is entirely absent from the marketing now…
She was a good child actress but these last few years I don’t think she is that great. Actually when I see her act all I can think about are all her problems and her really bad behavior.
