In the spirit of the first teaser trailer for Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Network — a.k.a. the Facebook movie, which is set to open the New York Film Festival Sept. 24 — the second teaser trailer continues to avoid traditional movie trailer mediums such as “live action” and “real people.” So basically it’s just like Facebook. Hey, we get it! And the voice of “Eduardo Saverin” is Andrew Garfield, the new Spider-Man! What if PopWatch was like this, like a live blog of us conspiring against each other all day, every day? Would you still read it? Would you watch our upcoming movie called The Antisocial Cave Trolls Who Name Their DVRs?
Of course, if PopWatch really did attempt to mimic this trailer, I’d have to type “WE DON’T NEED HIM” in reference to blogger-cum-soap actor Michael Slezak, who has decided he’s too cool for us and will be guest-starring on July 12′s episode of The Young and the Restless. Seriously. That’s not a joke. It is actually happening.

Great teaser…I don’t know how they did it, but they managed to make live chatting on Facebook seem sinister. (Well, more sinister than usual.)
That being said, (and I realize it’s out of context) I feel like Timberlake’s bit stood out like a sore thumb. Fortunately, I have faith that Fincher will be able to get a good performance out of him.
Finally, re: Slezak…what did you expect? He’s gotta do SOMETHING with his time in the months that “Idol” isn’t on!
David Fincher can do no wrong in my eyes, so I’m sure I’ll love it.
Did anyone else think that one guy sounded like Jon Hamm? Anyone?
This feels very Bret Easton Ellis to me.
I agree that this does feel sinsiter.
uhhhhhh am i only one who thinks this is dumb?
yes
very much yes.
Slezak’s guest-starring on The Young And The Restless??!?!?!
