On last night’s episode of The City, Roxy Olin asked her father, actor Ken Olin (thirtysomething, Brothers & Sisters), for more money so she could get her own place. Hearing that he shot her down — he told her she could move back home and walk the dogs — made me watch my first minute of The City ever.

Ken Olin directed a bunch of awesome episodes of Alias, maybe there can be a cross over episode where he gets Jack Bristow to make everyone on the City (and the hills for that matter) to never be seen or heard from again.

I adore The City anyway but having Ken Olin show up and actually show up and parent like a normal parent was wonderful. I also thought it was good of Roxy not to pitch a fit and beg..she pouted (seriously, who wouldn’t?) and then got her ducks in a row…kudos to the Olin family!!!!

i never put together that was Ken Olin from thirtysomething!! i loved him on thirtysomething and last night — without realizing it was the same dude — i was so impressed with the way he handled his daughter respectfully but firm. can’t believe i didn’t realize who her parents are – very cool!
