'Hot In Cleveland' gets second season. Betty White fever continues!

Hot-In-ClevelandImage Credit: Evans Ward/PictureGroupAs Annie Barrett already told you dear readers, it’s hot here in New York. But you know where it’s even hotter? Cleveland. And not just because of all the hullabaloo over Lebron James. Nope, TV Land announced today that it has already picked up a second season of Hot in Cleveland, after just three episodes have aired.

Does this mean we all can expect to have Betty White fever for another year? (Side effects: a non-stop case of the chuckles, a cozy warming sensation in the heart.) Looks like it: The network also announced that all four stars of the series — Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick, and White — will be returning for all 20 episodes of season two. And if the show continues to boast stellar ratings (according to TV Land, the show is averaging 4.7 million viewers), could we expect to see Cleveland, and White fever, ride straight into a third season?

Either way, you would think 20 more episodes would cheer up Leeves in this photo, no? Are you excited to hear the news of Cleveland‘s renewal, PopWatchers?

I love Betty. I just hope she does not get overexposed to the point where we get sick of her. Yes, even to much of a good thing can be bad.

I can,t think of a better comedy team than the four comediens that star in this new show “Hot in Cleveland”.I am so glad that it will be on for a while.Betty White cracks me up,she,s so amazing and so funny as well as the other 3 ladies. It is so good to see a decent show on.

  • i’m so sick of betty white. hilarious comedian, loved golden girls/mary tyler moore, but she’s overexposed right now. i love that an older woman is having such a strong career resurgence, but seriously, c’mon.

Love this show, and not just because i live in Cleveland! It does manage to give us a good rap for a change, but these actresses are fabulous! They have terrific chemistry and of course, the ultimate GOLDEN GIRL is beyond wonderful!! so glad to hear they are keeping a purely enjoyable show!

    • Diana

I totally agree! They are all great actresses and work well together. The episodes keep getting better and better! Heres to season 2! Yeah!!!

Love this show! I watched the show because of Betty White. I love Betty. Betty, Jane L., and Wendie M. are so funny. I am looking forward seeing actor Tim Conway as the guest on ‘Hot In Cleveland’. It is going to be fun to watch.

I’ve only seen a couple of episodes but it is as good or better than most network “sitcoms” these days.

  • Graham

The show has been slowly finding its footing (last week’s episode with Carl Reiner was its best thus far). Looking forward to more episodes…

,,, But can we stop with ALL of the Betty White fever nonsense. The best thing about Hot in Cleveland is Wendie Malick, hands down. She should be in the running for a Supporting Emmy in 2011.

    • Pamela

Show some respect Graham. The lady is hilarious, yes Wendie is funny too but they all rock

      • Jay

“Show some respect”? All he said is he doesn’t have the “fever”.

        I don’t either.

The ads before the premiere made the show look dumb, but it’s been pleasantly surprising. And I love the nostalgic parade of guest stars.
