I still say that Jake planned this from the beginning. Picked someone he “thought” America would forgive him for dumping,but my Dad says that’s giving Jake too much credit. After tonight’s interview, I’d say Dad is right on target. Jake’s not smart enough to accomplish that. Vienna came off as naive and immature, but she was very genuine. Jake was making it up as he went along. No emotion whatsoever. Totally confirmed everything Vienna was saying. They can both go away now, but that was some fun, cringe-worthy TV.
What I would like to know is why Chris didn’t confront Jake about his “Gay Tendencies”…? A big part of Vienna’s accusation in the Star was that “Jake isn’t into girls!” So why not ask Jake to either confirm or deny?
Right now all we have is a misogynist – But I think if you peal back Jake’s Religiosity – you’ll find a sad confused gay guy trying to be straight.

She never said in Star he was gay once. Other people have said it.
By her talking about how he wouldn’t touch her, of course, it begs the question is he gay.
He just didn’t have any use for her after! He thought he busted into instant celebrity by going on DWTS and all his tv interviews. Plain to see for me. I see your point, but just wanted to throw that out there. I think that scum has no use for gay or straight anybody. His hand action and his dreams of fame are his priority. IMO

I always thought Jake was fake. All he ever does is give that cheezy smile and talk about his journey. he is a jerk and that is putting it mildly. if it was me and he talked to me that way…..i don’t think he’d have a pretty smile to fall back on anymore.

I agree with the majority of commentators above. He was very creepy. Vienna seemed like a normal, scorned ex-girlfriend. I was scared for her safety though. I hope these two never run into each other ever again. And that I never run into Jake.
All will end well. A year from now they each will have found the perfect guy.

Vienna was honest, and yes, overly talkative. But talking too much isn’t a big character flaw. Jake, on the other hand, has scary, scary issues.
“Overly talkative”?? She was just plain rude, immature and a spoiled ‘daddy’s girl’ who needed to have someone pay attention to her, support her monetarily, hold her and kiss her to feel validated. Her tantrum and tears did not sound real to my ears. Yes, he is a jerk for choosing her in the first place. All America couldn’t have been wrong. She was not liked by the other women either, remember and the whys of it?

The reason Vienna over talked Jake is because he was spewing nothing but lies. Who wants to listen to that? I would have interrupted him too.
So she has a “sick” relationship with her pet because she was concerned when the dog was sick? Or is she spoiled because she wants her fiancee to pay attention to her, hold her hand, and kiss her? Funny, that’s what I want my fiancee to do, and as soon as he stops paying attention to me, it’s over. Color me spoiled!
Jake = JERK. Vienna may be shallow, but she appeared genuinely upset. I wish she hadn’t left and let him get the last word. The guy is narcissistic. Do you think he even knows that he’s gay?
I think he will be one of the gay guys that get married and have kids and live in Texas. We’ll see, though, when he hits 45 if he acknowledges it to himself or anyone.

I agree Jo. There sure are a lot of nut jobs on this message board that think Jake is cruel because he told motormouth to be quiet so he could say 3 or 4 words in a row without being interrupted. The women in the house didn’t like her, she claims the people in her home tonw don’t like her, Jake doesn’t like her and neither do I. Jake should have sent her packing at the beginning of the show. So as I did watch a little of this due to my curiosity as to who would look worse. I was quite surprised tonight to read that most people were pro-vienna after this interview. Also it was weird that everytime someone mentioned jake in a positive light the same 4 people(LD, Sue, Rick, and Britt) were there to stifle their response. After seeing this I do feel that vienna was more in the wrong based on the giving of intimate details to such classy media sources. Though this was bound to be a failed relationship based on they barely knew each other. Jake is a weeny and vienna is very childish and immature.

Jake apparently fed you his talking points. I never heard the other girls say she was doing it for publicity. Not once. The only accusation I heard was that they thought she was immature. They never gave one instance of anything specific she did that caused them to dislike her.
Jake has given several interviews himself. And the problem with Vienna is that her immaturity annoyed the girls in the house, not that they thought she was in it to be famous (she doesn’t look that much like Justin, does she?)

Absolutely hilarious! Vienna has been seen as the bad “guy” in the tabloids. She totally proved herself on this show. As soon as Jake raised his voice to her…I was like…”oh hell no!!” and called my mom. Haha! Vienna totally proved herself on this interview….Jake showed how much he sucks as a guy. Maybe Dr. Phil can pick him up for some counseling. Suckaaa!!
vienna’s emotions were so real! i don’t think she could’ve acted that real. jake came across as a jerk! i was in shock at how much of a dirtbag he is. i was also surprised at chris harrison’s line of questioning – all pointed towards vienna being in the wrong and letting jake have time before she came out. i think jake, mr. wannabe hollywood, will regret doing this interview.

The thing is, yes he was undoubtedly a dbag here and she’s seems really geniunely sad…but we haven’t seen any other arguments between them. It reminds me of fights I saw between a friend of mine and her boyfriend back in high school. She would be upset and in tears over some real or imagined slight and would cry like her heart would never be whole again. He got so worn down dealing with it that he would withdrawn and get really cold and angry with her. He never hit her or did anything violent, but for two years they made each other’s lives miserable…and hanging out with them extremely unpleasant for the rest of us. To outsiders he looked like the world’s biggest jerk, but really she was just as awful. Thankfully, they both grew up and are happily married to other people now. Perhaps Jake and Vienna will eventually grow up, too.
John – I totally agree with you. I only saw the second half of the interview. But seeing that plus Vienna on the show convinced me enough – the girl is really a spoiled, needy, ‘princess’ crying victim. And tonight she would not shut up! However, when Jake picked her on Bach I was in shock and thought – well dude – you’re gonna get whatcha asked for … C.R.A.Z.Y. IMO, a man with better character would have seen Vienna for what she was and known better.
