Happy birthday, Lindsay Lohan. Let's remember the better days.

You know, back when you were the fastest-rising teenage star in Hollywood. When you made us coo over your amazingly mature on-screen comedic skills in The Parent Trap. Impressed us with your leading-lady prowess in Mean Girls. Managed to hold your own alongside Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on Saturday Night Live — three times. When the press only focused on your acting skills and refreshingly natural beauty. Oh, to go back to that innocent time when we didn’t care about your headline-making Tweets, like the one you wrote today about being punched by a waitress. Sigh. So as you turn the ripe age of 24 today, let’s take a trip down memory lane, shall we?

Hopefully she can turn her life around – if she can get away from her monstrous parents.

I agree…it must have been difficult growing up with Dena and Michael.

Awww I miss Lindsay circa 2004 :( Figure things out lady!

The Parent Trap will ALWAYS be my favorite movie ever.

  • TQB

I always thought it sucked that she appeared to completely miss the message of Mean Girls.

  • Tom Brazelton

    She’s 24?! She LOOKS like she’s 42!

LL does nothing to redeem herself. Why do people keep fawning over her? There are far better actresses and far better people. She’s spoiled, entitled and now she’s washed up and pathetic. Sorry, I’m just being honest. If she even seemed slightly humble or nice I would think otherwise, but she’s shown everyone time and time again that she isn’t. Happy Birthday anyways, I guess.

Because it’s sad seeing someone who showed so much potential burn out so dramatically. With the exception of only the vilest internet trolls, nobody actually roots for the suffering of another human being.

i’ve never rooted for the “suffering of another human being” (dramatic much?), i just don’t think she requires press for being a mess. she needs to recede into obscurity and actually work on her issues.

It’s so unfortunate that I share my birthday with this trainwreck.

Come on Lindsay! We know you can come back around!! :D

I can’t even read articles about her anymore. It’s too sad.

How does she even have money anymore? I don’t know of a high-grossing movie she’s done since Mean Girls, and with all the clubbing that she does…
Of course, her train wreck of a mom is no help either, and now they’re dragging her little sister into it too…

What i don’t understand what the big deal is with her…for starters, she is not a good actress.

    • TQB

She was good when she was younger. Unfortunately I have to agree with you that she’s turned out to be good “for a kid” and not actually “good.”

Well Happy Birthday Lindsey! I forgot how great she was in Parent Trap! Here’s hoping she can get back on track and give enjoyable roles yet again.

Sorry…I hate it when people spell names wrong..and then I did it. Happy Birthday Lindsay!

EW why don’t you publish her obituary that you have on standby, that would be a fun read

Sigh. I had a huge crush on Lindsay Lohan in the early to mid-2000s. She truly was refreshingly beautiful, very talented, and had a great sense of humor. It shouldn’t bother me so much, but the fact that she has fallen so far is so depressing for someone who used to be a fan. She was fantastic in Mean Girls and on Saturday Night Live. Her first hosting gig back in 2004 was hilarious beginning to end. And I loved that she had begun to take an unexpected turn in her movie choices, like supporting roles in A Prairie Home Companion and Bobby. It was smart and it seemed liked her career was headed in the right direction. Then came the alcohol…and the drugs…and I Know Who Killed Me. Sigh. I guess I’ll just have to stick to watching Mean Girls on TBS.

She’s only 24! Damn cocaine is a hell of a drug.
