Image Credit: NBCAs EW’s Nicole Sperling reports on our Hollywood Insider blog, Community star Alison Brie has joined the cast of Scream 4. She’ll play Neve Campbell’s character’s ambitious/jealous personal assistant, according to The Hollywood Reporter. With those large eyes that can either read sweet and innocent or crazy, that sounds like another perfect casting — right up there with Adam Brody as a rookie cop who received part of his training from CSI.
As thrilled as I am by Brie’s first blockbuster role, I’m even more looking forward to the Community episode I expect to capitalize on her involvement with the Scream franchise — and not in a pointless Bones-Avatar way. I mean a full-submersion, serial killer-on-campus episode in the vein of the paintball masterpiece, “Modern Warfare,” which was, hands down, one of the funniest half hours on TV last season. Just think of the possibilities with Abed (Danny Pudi): He’d use past film plots to anticipate the killer’s next move. And he’d definitely be a suspect. (Along with the dean.)
Scream 4 hits theaters in April 2011. Let’s go for a two-parter during May Sweeps. Who’s with me?

The cast for “Scream 4″ just keeps getting better and better, even if the character of Neve Campbell’s jealous/ambitious assistant is almost certainly going to get killed.
Also, that picture of Brie (along with the entire “Modern Warfare” episode) is absolutely hilarious!
RinbowRay Review Rio Looks like a fun movie to watch and I would recommend it as fun falimy fare. I love the music they use and the colours as well (kids enjoy bright colours and you can reinforce concept colours as welll using this movie). Being in 3D is okay, but I think there are so many of them that it’s kind of hard to keep track. The movie’s premise I find to be original as well. I’ve seen only the first one (I am a Courtney Cox fan . Anyone seen Cougar Town?) and hated it because of that reasn. Whatever happened to movies like Whena Stranger Calls and : Secret Window ? (Honestly though, Brie is like 5-foot-nothing…it’ll be pretty easy to figure out who the killer is when all the victims are towering over her.)

Me too! I think Mandi’s idea is spot on, especially with Abed and the dean being suspects. Comedy gold – I am SO GLAD that they kept Community around for another season. Modern Warfare was one of my all time favorite eps.
I’m even more excited to see Scream 4 now than I was before. I’ve already pegged her as the killer. I know Dan Harmon will have to do an episode about this somehow. He would never pass up an opportunity to make fun of a cast member.
Yay! I haven’t seen a horror movie in ages but am now super-onboard with Scream 4…except I’d hate to see my beloved Alison Brie die! Though I could TOTALLY picture her being the killer…girl’s definitely got crazy eyes.
If I had to pick the Greendale Community College killer…I vote Starburns!!
I agree that Modern Warfare was the funniest 1/2 hour on TV! I watch it about once a week on the web, and still find new things I didn’t notice before. Perfect cast; perfect roles; spot-on hysterical moments!!!

I saw his paintball episode of Community and it was hilarious them going all action hero and Platoon the whole time. I have been paintballing for years now and its really great to see someone putting the sport in a positive light. I would say that if more people go into it, there wouldn’t be such a bad rap for it. I have been trying to get my little borhter into it, by giving him free reign to order anything off of airsplat.com that he wanted, but he is afraid that he would be outcast as a dork for playing paintball.
