Just like in his first episode last winter, actor James Franco‘s face was mostly obscured, as he spoke cryptically to mob lawyer Diane (Cougar Town‘s Carolyn Hennesy) while pretending to be a homeless man. Then he skulked around the apartment building of newly-freed Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), let out of jail specifically to lure out Franco, Jason’s nemesis.

It’s funny you should say that. When I was visiting my mom earlier this year, and I was watching “Cougar Town”, she basically said “Diane Miller is on ‘Cougar Town’?!!!!!” (I also remember not knowing what she was talking about.)
She’s been on GH for years. Long before Cougar Town. CT is more of a side job for her.
Can he take out the Judge and the witch that wanted to put Sonny in jail?
He should kill Sonny and Jason, then take over the mob. That way when he eventually leaves, the show can go back to being ABOUT THE HOSPITAL!

I do not get this guy’s appeal. I thought he was horrible the last time and I don’t think I’ll waste my time now. Call me when he’s gone.
Same here. He was horrible last time. Well it was the writing which has been bad in the past 5 years. But Brenda’s return is tied in with Franco so now I have to watch. I just hope the chick who plays Brenda’s new face doesn’t look too awful on HD.

I think GH should just keep him, let him stand there and grin every now and then. He’s sexy. I love him.
I really don’t get this as a career move for this dude. Read the comments on here. Come on. He probably wants to more than just a sex symbol, but come on, soaps? It’s one thing not to want to capitalize on your looks, it’s another to repeatedly take inferior roles and try to make yourself as creepy as humanly possible over and over again.
maybe he thinks acting in a soap once in a while is fun..

Franco has also said that with the amount of material that must be memorized daily on a soap, it has helped him learn lines faster and even helped him land a role.
he probably wants to challenge himself. Soap Acting is one of the hardest forms of acting. They shoot an entire week’s worth of scenes in a day. You have to know your lines for the entire week.

I think he did an awesome job last time.I didn’t even know who he was until he appeared on GH. After watching him I started paying attention to what movies he appeared in.
I like how he can do whatever he wants in his career and still be relevant – comedy, leaving for college, soaps, writing, art… He has a lot to share and I dig it.
I agree, he seems like a nice guy, maybe he just loves soaps and he’s always been a fan. I know that as a comic fan I would jump at the chamce to be in a superhero movie or TV show

I don’t watch GH but I have to say I enjoyed the clip..he pulls of creepy pretty well! This guy makes me feel bad about myself since he has become the person who can do everything.

Any legal types out there care to comment on the ridiculous court system in Port Charles? I know it’s a soap, but this is so far removed from reality; it’s become a real turn-off.
I’m a lawyer, and it drives me crazy. And now that they’ve got three lawyers on the show (Alexis, Diane, and Claire), it just increases the opportunities for the writers to abuse the legal system. There should be at least some connection to reality (even in a soap), but there isn’t on GH. Still, I can’t stop watching the show because I love the drama.
I agree! I’m a lawyer, and I find it so frustrating. A little research wouldn’t kill the writers. Seriously, “the Commonwealth of New York”…NO!
