Hollywood nevers knows how to leave a good thing alone. 4 of the 5 original ape movies were great (they should have never made the 5th one. Enough already. I’m on the younger side (35) but was brought up by my sci-fi loving father to worship the original film which I did going so far as to record and then play the music from the first hunt (that horn still wigs me out!) when I did a book report on “Planet of the Apes” in 9th grade. I had no interest in the remake especially after I heard the reviews. I need to know more about this one before I’d consider it. The original is quite different from the book so if they stay closer to the book it might be ok. I stress might.
