Hung has said that after watching himself on TC, he has made an effort to slow down. I don’t think Ilan and Marcil learned as much, but season 2 was very emotionally immature IMO.
I agree with who got booted this week. That dessert was a disaster (even if it had chocolate, it wouldn’t have been nutritious) and she didn’t fight to get a bigger budget – only 10%?? Kenny and the other guy should have made sure there was a vegetable and I put it more on the 2nd guy because the bun for the burger was a starch and they didnt’ need a 2nd, whereas Kenny did the dessert, which turned out well and had apples and minimal sugar.
BTW, there’s no way Angelo would’ve done peanut butter mousse on celery if he didn’t have immunity.
Why is Kelly a b-tch for taking ownership of one of the dishes, which is exactly what they were supposed to do, and exactly what Tom said he wanted them to do? And if you watch the show, Kelly cleared came up with it on her own. Kelly happens to be a really talented chef who will probably make up the final three along with Angelo and Kenny. She’s actually already appeared on “Iron Chef,” which made me wonder if she won this show and got that gig.
Richard Blais is on Iron Chef as one of Cat Cora’s chefs, and gets a lot of airtime. You don’t have to win, just do well.
Archana, I totally agree with you. Sam Kass is dreamy and was easily the best thing about the episode. The chefs and the season (at least so far)…eh. Though I do love seeing them standing around talking about cooking and healthy ingredients while having a smoke. Nice.
I really can’t believe the production team of Top Chef allowed Amanda to serve that Sherry chicken. I was totally bewildered when it was actually handed out. As most of you should know, there is quite a substantial amount of alcohol retained in any cooking method, whether braising or baking. Here’s a little guide for you all:

Amanda should have gotten the boot automatically from that. I’m not counting out the 2 pound sugar dessert fiasco; that was a horrid idea for a “healthy” dessert.
Best.Recap.Ever. It was better than the show!
“Drag queen bingo”? “Spice Girl karaoke”? “Stylist”? Really? I call BS on your ridiculous stereotyping of Arnold. Way to go for the easy chuckle.
