It's official: Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaces Megan Fox in 'Transformers 3'

rosie-huntington-whiteleyImage Credit: Todd Williamson/WireImage.comFanboys, start your hormones: Transformers director Michael Bay confirms that Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will be filling the shoes (or more specifically, the micro-mini jean skirt) of Megan Fox in the franchise’s next pic, which just started filming in L.A.

Welcome to Hollywood, Rosie! May all your slo-mo running-sexily-from-explosion shots be merry and bright. Just be careful when you’re dealing with all those superpowered intergalactic warlords. Oh, and the Decepticons, too.

Well I see we are out to ruin this film. Can’t we find someone that is an actual actress rather than just going for the no acting talent model.

    • bamalam

agreed…but this is coming from someone who actually likes Megan Fox…

      • frank

THANK YOU!!! if they give her dark hair, it’s pretty much megan fox

      • lefty

frank, I don’t think you read this comment correctly

Can we find an “actual actress”?

Why are people acting like Roseie Huntington-Whiteley is replacing Kate Winslet? Before “Transformers”, Megan Fox’s big movie role was as “Carla” in “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” and as “Stars-and-Stripes Bikini Kid Dancing Under Waterfall” (perhaps my favorite credit ever) in “Bad Boys 2.”

Let’s get a grip here, people.

      • Diane

Let’s not forget her role as the hot but bored and expressionless teenager on Hope and Faith. Oh wait-let’s forget it.

How can you ruin an already crappy franchise? And it’s no diff from the first two having an actress hired solely for looks as opposed to acting chops because, as hot as Megan Fox might be, the girl has less acting chops than the dump I took this morning.

    • Kate

I’m not a Megan Fox fan. But I can say that I would rather of had her continue in this series rather then replace her with a model who has never acted before. Why can’t they find actress who can actually act to be in movies.

I second this. At least Megan Fox was interesting and had chemistry with Shia. This model is going to be their ruin.

  • lefty

It says “replaces” Fox, but it will be a different character, correct?

    • Marie

it will be a different character. it is kinda confusing the way they all keep saying “replaces”, but this new girl is supposed to be a new love interest for Shia’s character.
personally, i was hoping that they would get an actress for the role (and not a model), but i’m not surprised, this is hollywood after all.

  • Kelson

Obviously, Michael Bay considers eye-candy more important than actual acting talent. But Rosie isn’t even one of the more attractive Victoria’s Secret models. I hope Rosie only has a very minor part in this film.

  • Cleve

Ew yeah I won’t be seeing this one.

  • Nerwen Aldarion

UGH! I was one of the few people that didn’t hate Transformers 2 but I officially am not looking forward to the third one. Not that I’m a fan of Fox (I’m not) but why can’t they get someone who can…I don’t know, ACT!!!

  • KEH

Yup… looked at some images on line. Megan Fox is a guilty pleasure that makes me watch those movies more than once. This one is a YAWWWWWN Self important move execs think they can make anyone a big name.. Fox has a look that just well works.. This one not even close.. I here by dub thee.. “Transformers III: Over the meca shark”

  • M&M

I still sit back completely stupified as to how the first Transformers made as much money as it did to yield a sequel that was EVEN WORSE THAN A TERRIBLE ORIGINAL… And went on to make more money. I love these types of movies when done well but both of these films were the worst kind of Hollywood crap.

  • Jay

How about spending this much effort on a decent script, as well as locating an actual director?

  • Mike

This is simply a huge F you to Megan Fox from Michael Bay for talking bad about the second movie. And quite frankly, I think its hilarious.

    • Sara-Kate

      I agree! Haha! XD

  • Ayn

The word VAPID comes to mind….

  • Kelsey

Let’s be realistic here: Acting talent isn’t really required in this role. Think of it this way — Ms. Huntington-Whiteley is doing this laughably stupid role so that an actual young actress of import (an Abbie Cornish or Carey Mulligan) doesn’t have to. Frankly I’d be insulted if I was a respectable young actress and the best role I could get was as The Love Interest in a Transformers film.

  • Cris

Pretty … big boobs … questionable acting talent … will look good in slow-motion with big explosions in the background … yup, she’ll replace Megan Fox just fine.

  • Johnification

Can we pretend that Frances McDormand is replacing Megan Fox and this girl is just new? That makes the world seem less sucky.

  • MP

These movies are so unrealistic. There is no way either of these two girls would give Shia’s character the time of day.

    • Ceballos

The movies are about alien robots who can transform into cars…and THAT’S what you find unrealistic?

      • M&M

No. He’s stating that “(n)either of these two girls would give Shia’s character the time of day.” ALIEN ROBOTS ARE REAL!!!

      • Ceballos

Oh well, ok then…thanks for clearing that up, M&M.

  • Fred Radcliffe

This girl looks a lot like the hot decipticon from Revenge of the fallen… I guess the only difference is one can act..the other can’t.
