Image Credit: BravoAnybody else left with a foul taste in their mouths after last night’s episode? I wanted to laugh at Danielle and her cold cut platter of bodyguards, led by the twitchy and ridiculous Danny. I wanted to laugh at somber Albert, rubbing his fingertips together like a wedding hall Godfather in his Brownstone office. But then there was Emanuela’s mother, a weary-looking ordinary woman hoping to raise some money for her sick baby’s medical bills, and all I really wanted to do was whack a tray on Danielle’s head and write a big check to St. Jude’s.
The episode kicked off in a bath of candy pink. Audriana—Joe is still working on getting down the spelling—comes home from the hospital. Teresa wants Joe to get a vasectomy. Joe says fuhgeddaboutit. Overnight it appears that Teresa is back on her feet, making breakfast and attiring her children in furiously bedazzled jeans. (I would like to give a quick shout-out to the folks in the editing room who juxtaposed Teresa saying that she was “doing the Mommy thing, it’s pretty easy right now” with a shot of one of her girls swishing a pair of scissors off in the corner.) Gia got an ATV and bangs for her birthday. The party was kind of like the most horrifying episode of My Sweet Sixteen. There was a pink limo for the “Party Girls on the Go.” (Um, no.) There were sherbet-colored fur jackets as far as the eyes could see. There was a crabby middle sister. At the spa birthday party, that Teresa let us know cost a fortune, the girls all got facials. I’m inferring the treatment amounted to a miserable woman spreading chocolate sauce over their faces. The next morning each girl woke up with her first shiny pimple.
Speaking of party girls, Jacqueline wanted to meet Ashley’s boyfriend’s mother. The woman struck me as pretty normal if a little dorky. The conversation was predictably awkward, with Jacqueline giggling and the boyfriend’s mother assuring her that Ashley was always lovely and well-behaved. Their family respects the drinking age so they never offered the 18-year-old girl a thing to drink when she was in their home. Then the ladies’ little get-together skittered off the rails. “I know I drank when I was 18,” said Jacqueline, sipping from her glass of cab. “I partied with the best of them,” said Derek’s mom. And just like that Jacqueline was worrying that her teeth were purple and Derek’s mom was feeding her grapes. BFFs forever.
But on to the main event. It’s the fundraiser for baby Emanuela, a child cruelly stricken with cancer and the outrageous bills that go along with keeping her alive. Danielle tells us she might not have any real money herself to contribute—how about you donate all earnings from this nasty episode?—but she has big pocket friends. Apparently that means Kim G., not to be confused with boutique owner Kim S. She talks a similar game though: “Screw them all.” Screw who? Why screw? Anyways, Kim G. is Christopher’s best friend Johnny’s ma. Johnny is a bouncy little guy and he looks like Justin Bieber with a buzz cut and says things like “What’s up, bra?” Kim G. and Caroline are not friends, not when Danielle stands in between them creating a faux family war.
So now Danielle has Kim G., the ridiculous Danny—don’t mess with him, chihuahua, or he will end you—and a couple of Hells Angels. She shows up to the benefit and makes a beeline for Chris who has been given strict instructions not to engage. He’s polite. She gives him a dastardly grin and thanks him for inviting her into his home. Danielle seems to think this is clever psychological warfare. It’s not. Chris says hi to his buddy Johnny’s mom and gives her a heads-up that the evening is a little more informal than she might expect. Surprise! “Ohhh, you’re in for a big surprise,” growls Danielle, imitating an exchange she didn’t even witness. “He was very sadistic.” Danny only has six days left on his parole and this guy is itching for a drink and a fight. Danielle complains that her entourage doesn’t have their own table, and then that the table is not in the center of the room, and then that the Manzo family dared disrespect her when she is the honored guest of the evening (sorry Emanuela’s family). “Big mistake, huge” said Danielle, quoting Pretty Woman. Does this make Danny her Hector Elizondo or her Richard Gere? The grossest scene of the night showed Danielle posing happily with her mystifying sidekick Kim G. as a picture of Emanuela hung on the screen behind her. The more Danny and his goons worked themselves up into an outrage, the more alarmed and fatigued Emanuela’s family looked. Danielle, you suck so bad.
You know it’s a slow season when the ham game takes the stage a second time.
What did you all think? Does Danny remind you of the hoodrat bully from your old neighborhood? (Every block has one!) Is Teresa going to have another baby next season? How badly do you think Caroline regrets blurting out the fact that she shaves her face daily? How badly did Kim G. look like she wanted to call someone else, anyone else, for a ride home after the benefit?
Danielle has got to be the MOST digsuting excuse for a human being on the face of the planet. She makes Kelly Bensimon look like Mother Teresa! I really hope the producers do not invite her back next season. I understand the need for drama. It makes good television. But drama of the Danielle kind is just painful and uncomfortable to watch. I love the other ladies and I hope they can finally rid themselves of that skank ho-bag Danielle, the ORIGINAL prostitution-whore! LOL
I think Bravo should put Danielle and Kelly together. That would be interesting.

I don’t know, Michelle. If you were Bethenny you might think she was pretty mean. Unfortunately, I have known a few Kelly-like women and even though they’re lost, they are still venomous. They hurt, and they especially hurt their children.

Last night’s episode takes the cake, I seriously wanted to apologize to the family of the little girl. Danielle should be beyond ashamed of herself.

Hey, it’s all about Danielle. She doesn’t understand ANYTHING beyond that. She’s observed other humans being kind, and thinks imitating it will bring her admiration, but since she’s so obviously faking it, it won’t wash. I agree, she’s not normal.
Real life supplies enough drama and comic relief that the Danielles of the world aren’t necessary. For example, what Jacqueline has been going through with Ashley is something we can all relate to. WE know Ashley is sweet but immature, WE worried about the new boyfriend, so we’re breathing a sigh of relief that he seems okay. And personally, my favorite scene of the season was of Jacqueline and the boy’s mom. so I agree 100% – the Danielle type of drama is not only not needed, but it’s a detriment to otherwise entertaining escapism.
I agree — Danielle is going to kill this show. I fast-forwarded through most of her scenes (90 percent of the show) because i just could not watch her without gagging. She is such a train wreck. Bravo, please ditch her and get her some psychiatric intervention.
I felt sorry for Danielle last season, but seeing her in this episode sickened me. I am a nurse who works at a children’s hospital and I have to how hard it is for a family to have a sick child. Danielle is trash, and if she really cared for this family, she wouldn’t have been such a drama queen the entire evening.
For the sake of her children, Bravo needs to remove her from the show. Clearly she is mentally ill. Period.
Danielle is just plain trash. She and her pack of wild dogs made me ill last night. I wonder what Johnny thinks of his mom (Kim G.) after this episode.

That’s what I was thinking. Lord only knows the story Danielle weaved to get her sympathy.
I do not believe for one second that Kim G knew what Danielle was going to do. She didn’t know that Danielle had an ex convict for a bodyguard, otherwise she wouldn’t have asked who’s that at the door and Danielle wouldn’t have had to introduce the two. Even though I don’t want to show any kindness towards Danielle and her craziness I do believe that she has a sane side and a need for friends and even if she has ulterior motives for hanging out with Kim G, she needs an adult friend that will stand by her reguardless of what the rest of Franklin Lakes thinks of her.
Poor Kim G she was so shocked when Danny said he could drink in 6 days because he wouldn’t be a parole anymore. I truely don’t think she has actually sat next to an ex-con in her life! How shocking for her but I think it opened up her eyes about Danielle! Danny looked like he was jonesing for a fix. Great company to hang with Danielle – shows your true side.

I was disgusted watching this episode. Danielle is certifiable and Danny…well, a punk is a punk is a punk. I really hope this season is the last we see of her…and it’s because she and Kelly checked into a “sanitarium” for “rest”

I couldn’t believe Theresa had the gall to not be ashamed of throwing her daughter such an extravagent party during a huge recession.
What grossed me out so much about Caroline’s shaving story was when she said her son walked by, did a double take, and then came back to ask her what she was doing. While she was shaving. IN THE SHOWER.

I think every one misunderstood Caroline. She said she shaves sarcastically, because one morning she was in the shower exfoliating and her husband walked by and thought she was shaving so now its an ongoing joke. I’m sorry, but we need these people that have the money to throw it around like that. That’s the only way to get out of a recession! People need to spend money in order for other businesses to make money. It’s thinking that we all need to be penny pinchers that dragst he recession out longer and longer. If you don’t have the money to spend, than obviously, you need to be mindful,but for those that have, please spend away!

So what if Teresa chooses to inadvertantly support a few local businesses in the name of throwing her daughter an over the top (and it was) party. I don’t see how it’s “offensive” to the recession. Um, there is a story in the NY Post saying how Theresa and her husband are filing for bankruptcy and they owe 11 million dollars but they only make $79,000 a year…They are over spending.

W-e-l-l, to be honest… once menopause hits… I know of many women who have to pluck or shave their face. I recommend laser hair removal while young — when you get to be Caroline’s age — the hair is grey and cannot be lasered. I feel for her. And yes, menopause has its little secret no one talks about.
And actually shaving is often described as an exfoliation of the skin activity that because men do it daily–their facial skin often ages better and more slowly than women. It makes sense that women should try it. What’s the harm? Works better than any fancy exfoliation creams, ladies.

That episode was unbelievable. Danielle is garbage and even worse than we thought. Danny and his friend were like characters from an old, bad movie – over the top, twitchy thugs and it would have been funny had it not been for the child with cancer. The entire thing was sickening. Danielle needs to GO AWAY.

But look at Danielle’s history. She’s always been delusional. They knew that her storyline would play out this way when they hired her.
When my boyfriend looked up to see what I was watching and saw the birthday party he said the exact same thing: ‘This is like a bad episode of my super sweet 16, turn it off!’ I feel horrible for that poor baby and her family…the fact that Danielle made their fundraiser–that she didn’t bring ANY money to!!!!–about her was sickening. It may be TV, but this is her real life…and it’s sad.

I think Bravo’s exploitation is to blame for this episode. First they exploit mothers-behaving-badly(aka Kelly and Danielle)in front of their clearly distressed children. Then they take advantage of the fundraiser for a child stricken w/cancer!! They NEVER should have filmed at this benefit knowing it could get ugly. Their only interest is the ratings, not the effect the appalling behavior of Danielle and her soprano-like gumbahs would have on this family. Shame on Andy Cohen!
That is a very good point. If Bravo hadn’t filmed the event, Danielle would have had no reason to pull her crap. I also think that the right thing to do would have been to bow out of the event, knowing that it was at the Brownstone, because she didn’t want to cause trouble for the event. Except that apparently she did want to cause trouble. So, again, it shouldn’t have been filmed.
I do think that Bravo shouldn’t have filmed the charity event.

If you read the blogs on the official bravo website that each of the women write after the show you will read that Caroline’s sister (dang I can’t remember her name) begged with BRAVO not to shoot at the benefit but they said they didn’t care. BRAVO should be ashamed of themselves.
Everyone who was upset by the filming of the benefit should donate a few dollars (according to your own means) to the family of the poor child. Then at least something good will have come out of Bravo exploiting the benefit for our entertainment.

Remember, the point of the party was not a good time (which Danielle, the sociopath, did ruin) but to raise money and I’m guessing this episode will result in a lot o f money being raised.

Danielle is a sociopath I lived with one for a very long time. They are scary and dangerous. No matter what horrible things this person had done to me and my husband and my children,she always took great pains to make herself the victim of it all,and would rally her drones to “fight for her” against all these evil people who want to ruin her life. It wouldnt surprise me if I saw Danielle on an episode of 48 Hours someday soon. Her little friend was oddly enough exactly like thr ex brother in law that was married to my sociopath,right down to the fake wiseguy talk. I felt so sad for the childs parents…like this devastated mother doesnt have more important things to deal with. You could see how uncomfortable the poor woman was around sweet danielle. Dont even get me started on miss Teresa…by the time Gia is 18 nobody will be able to impress her with anything short of the crown jewels of England. An ATV for an 8 year old? Kids older than that get hurt and killed on those things more often than people notice. shame shame….
My first thought at the ATV was where is the helmet? My son has one and is required to wear a helmet at all times and I do not allow his younger sister on the back.

Danielle is beyond disgusting! The fact that she brought all of those uninvited guests with her as an entourage? That type of fundraiser was probably a per person type of thing, where each person pays a flat fee (or more if they can) and some money goes to the venue and the rest goes to the family. So by Danielle showing up with uninvited guests, would actually take money away from the family. So not only did she cause even more grief to the family by the scene her and her cronies were making, she possibly took more money out of their pockets to help pay their dauhters medical bills.
