I am in severe Parks and Recreation withdrawal, and the knowledge that I’ll have to wait until midseason for more from Pawnee is almost too much to bear. So I will comfort myself with this fabulous credits sequence that wonders, what if Parks and Recreation were Friends? I’ll be there for you, Ron Swanson, when the rain starts to pour…
It’s no Jabba the Hutt version, and the Community-as-Friends thing may be more on-the-nose, but I can’t help my self. I loves me some Parks and Rec.
How are you hold up in this sad, scary off-season, PopWatchers?

Best comedy on television!
I agree 100%!
i love ron swanson.
he’s married to karen walker. Maybe thats common knowledge, but i just discovered this!
Yep…that made the “Ron and Tammy” ep extra hilarious.
(“That woman knows her way around a penis.”
i remember learning about that and thinking how awesome it was!
the only thing is that they didn’t put the names in alphabetical order like how Friends was.
Thats true, but it looked cooler with the more significant characters first.
If you guys miss “Parks and Rec” so much, then why did you stop doing recaps?! (Including no recap of the terrific season finale?)
Were you weaning yourself off in anticipation of this cold “Parks”-less summer?
I was gonna ask the same thing. EW has (rightfully) been pushing P&R all season, and then they suddenly stop recapping the last few weeks?
I agree with Ceballos, watching the show I couldn’t wait to relive the best parts the next day at work reading the recap … only to be disappointed the last few weeks! Of course, no recaps doesn’t hold a candle to the devastation that is no Parks and Rec until MID-SEASON!
That was awesome and awww…I’m have Parks withdrawl already. Its just plain cruel to keep this show away until Mid-Season!
So, are April and Andy Ross and Rachel?
I wish EW would’ve continued recapping Parks and Rec.
I love that they included a library clip!
Tht song makes everything 10 times more adorable.
that song could be applied to any number of post-Friends sitcoms, not the least of which is Cougar Town (it even has an ex-Friend – two if you count LIsa Kudrow’s guest appearance).
And no Friend parody is complete without some kind of Fountain dance (or equivalent. In this case, maybe a dirt hole dance?)
Even with reimagining “Parks” as “Friends,” “Parks” still looks 100 times for interesting than “Friends” ever did.
Seeing Mark and Leslie at the end with the pit when it was still a pit warmed my little ol’ heart.
