Dunkin' Donuts offers free donuts June 4. Better than free cone day?

Filed under: Food and Drink and tagged: ,

donuts-ice-creamDunkin’ Donuts have decided to combine my two favorite things in the world on June 4: Free food and jelly-filled treats. That’s right, the supplier of high-calorie goodness has decided to celebrate National Donut Day by offering free donuts to customers — as long as they purchase a beverage. I say cop out, Dunkin Donuts! Ben & Jerry’s offers us free ice cream once a year with no strings attached! So while every March or April, I trot into my local Ben & Jerry’s and come out looking like this, on June 4, I’ll have to settle for looking like this. Because I’m cheap, folks.

Ice cream > donuts. I’m sorry, it’s the truth kids.

Okay, my kids are not home from school ye, but I am predicting two say ice cream, and one says doughnuts. All tween aged boys. I’ll choose the ice cream.

      Oops.”yet”.

Donuts make me thirsty so I would have bought a drink anyways. So I’m not complaining.

Krispy Kreme will have a free doughnut give away that day, too. You don’t have to buy anything, either. I think we’ll be hitting a place for breakfast and a place for an after dinner snack!

I love DD’s coffee, so I’d buy a beverage anyway. A free donut is just a nice perk.

It is a rip off that you have to buy a beverage to get something for free (even if it is a superior product to Krispy Kreme).

Better yet, go to your local bakery and buy a doughnut. Healthier and it helps the local community…

Donuts, twinkies, cheeseburgers, regular coke soda, smokes, pot, cocaine, etc. Anything that we were told is bad for us, well it doesn’t matter now. We’re dead anyway. Thank you BP for getting us near to our destruction

Free ice cream at Friendly’s on June 5th from noon until 5 for their 75th anniversary!

Unfortuately I lived in California and there are no Dunkin’ Donuts here, but there’s a Krispy Kreme in the next town.

Nothing is ever free if you have to buy something else to get it. Free should be Free.
