It’s strange, fellow Big Bang theorists, but I find myself with not much to say about last night’s season finale, since pretty much everything in Read the full post.

If Leonard really loves Penny, why would he sleep with someone else just after his breakup with Penny? That was the ep. that made Leonard look bad. That should have the question Penny asked Leonard.

Ya know, i think Leonard was lonely, sad, and stunned when the woman was naked right in front of him. He was probably thinking “when am I going to get sex again?” I agree that the question should have been asked to Leonard, but I think that he really loved penny and that was meaningless sex.

What difference does it make? Penny dumped him. She has no right to be upset with him, no matter what he does or how soon. This isn’t some sort of test of his feelings for her. He might still love her, but until she comes around, he’s a free agent.

I usually lurk, but I have to say this episode nearly started a riot in my house. My teenaged son is so much like Sheldon it isn’t even funny. Well, okay, it is kind of funny – as long as you don’t live with it every day. He is one of BBT’s most devoted hard-core fans and he HATED HATED HATED this finale. The mere possibility of Sheldon having a romance has him downright angry.

I too am a little disappointed at this turn. I enjoyed the fact that Sheldon is so proudly asexual, and there really are people like that in the world. I have a number of scientist/engineer friends and family members and believe me, Sheldon’s take on relationships is not at all unrealistic to many of them. I hope the Sheldon girlfriend plot is very short-lived. I’d rather see more of Howard and Bernadette. But most of all, I want more Will Wheaton!

Yeah, but ultimately, no man is asexual. He will want to mate sometime.

A couple episodes ago I thought they were going to end the show with the turn they took. The break up of Penny and Leonard has seem to put a wrench in the show. The episodes seems to be getting really emotional and dramatic. I don’t know, the whole mood seems to be a downer, it seems like the show is getting more grumpy, people are getting way more agitated with each other. It’s like being friends with people who can’t stand each other. I will say it has gotten deeper and each character has come a long way in development. I am not happy with how the season has ended but I am curious to see how it continues. I think it is really sad how Howard’s steady girl friend is just left by the wayside. I thought it was great for him to finally have a girl, but I guess it couldn’t last because if anyone really got in a relationship they might eventually get married or live together and then it would turn into a couples show or they would have to be written out and the show would end. I thought the begining of the 3rd season was really good. It’s like everyone matured, developed, it was like an seasoned steak with flavor, whit, and maturity. I don’t know, I guess Iam just sad at how things have been going through with Leonard. Ya know I am glad that he stood up for himself and got upset that he was used for sex. So when does season 4 start? September like the season 3? I can’t wait to get season 3 on DVD. My friends and I will quote it all the time.

Does anyone else remember when Raj mentioned TVs Blossom in the episode where they enter the physics bowl and look for someone for their team. I think it was called The Bat-Jar Conjecture

I can’t wait until the DVD set of the 3rd season is available so I can watch all the episodes again!!

Love the episode but I’m looking forward to the day that the gang realizes that evil Will Wheaton was instrumental in Penny and Leonard’s break up to ensure they lost at bowling. You know Sheldon will be compelled to put them back together because evil Will Wheaton cannot win. The idea of Sheldon as matchmaker is rife with comic possibilities.

Its an interesting twist. But they should’ve picked a prettier girl. Like seriously.

  • Chewy

Does anyone remember when Sheldon was practically dating that woman that was in love with him but he was completely focused on his research? I feel like we’ve already seen what a potential relationship with Sheldon would be like.

Asexual? Are you kidding? This character is as gay as Paris. At his best he channels Paul Lynde .. almost Paul Lynde playing Tony Randall.
