The trailer in itself is not giving much away. The scenes and conversations may not be connected to what we may be imagining.
For example when Will speaks on the phone..is he talking to Alicia? If so when? When Alicia is in the backstage? or earlier?
I doubt, the writers are going to satisfy us in making Alicia choose…because it is all too soon.
( When I was very young…I remember my mom watching Dallas…remember the season ended with Who Shot JR?)…that was really a cliff hanger!
I have to agree with some of the contributors here, it may be Alicia may inform Peter she needs time, hence a separation?
Then what? Giving Alicia to find out about who Will really is? She likes him yeah, but she is also too smart to jump into the deep blue sea ( remember ..the devil or the deep blue sea????)
Could the writers be wrestling with the issue of ‘morality’? If Alicia goes for Will….it may not augur with what they want to show..ie..the good wife is just not another lawyerish show..where lawyers/partners are jumping into the sack with one another.
This series has CLASS.

Perhaps they will decide….for Alicia to go with Peter ( because of whatever reasons they will come up with) but the second season would prove to be interesting as Alicia may decide that the relationship is not going anywhere….well my 2 cents worth :~)
Scenario #6: Eli finds out about Will and threatens to pull his business from Lockhart Gardner, forcing Alicia to stand by Peter for the re-election campaign, and thereby rendering Alicia in a sort of Lovers Limbo – in order to keep her job, she has to stay with Peter and deny her feelings for Will (who will be crushed and spend a good chunk of next season seemingly settled down in a stable relationship with that law student (Gardia?) played by Karen Olivo).
As Alan Cumming and Olivo are both confirmed to be returning next season, that’s my best guess!
Hopefully, the later half of 2nd season sees the return Will-Alicia storyline…
At the end of the last episode, Peter was introducing Alicia to new clients, so that would give her more power with her firm. Perhaps she become a 3rd partner at Lockheart Gardiner in season 2.
I’m still waiting for the bombshell to drop that Zac got Rebecca pregnant.
I didn’t like Peter for most of the first season. But I do like that his character is trying to be a better person – chasing after Alicia when he risked going to jail, turning down the waitress, and asking for Alicia’s full support before filing to run for office. I do think he would try to be a better SA. That said, I’m not convinced that Glenn Childs is a bad SA for normal cases, he just has a vindictive case against Peter Florrick. But I think Peter did the same thing when he was DA.
I think Alicia will pick Peter, she is aware of Giada and won’t pick a man who is chasing 25 year old tail on the side…she already dealt with that with her husband, and now he is trying to be a better man.
Really liked the Diane Lockhart storyline this episode. Disagree with the criticism of Eli Gold, he definitely holds the screen, but he doesn’t have to chew the scenery every time. He’s great interacting with Grandma and letting *her* chew scenery!
I love a good cliff hanger and this was a great one, TGW will stay on Tuesday nights at 10pm after NCIS:LA, so hopefully lots of re-runs this summer will pick up even more addicted viewers!
Scenario #6 .Alicia will back Peter and tell Will to hit the highway, she has seen through all his BS foe the last 23 episodes and has moved on from the college years. When you have a family there are manny things to stay with she sees this in her children.
i think ot would be great if alicia stays with peter, but continuing having affair with will, while will having a relationship with cabrina, and cabrina has a dirty relationship with peter. that would be complicated.

i think she should have a secret affair with Will which will make it exciting and dangerous and then we can start calling it THE GOOD WIFE GONE BAD
