I disagree with everyone I see about Joshua being compelling and the most interesting V on the ship. I found him to be quite boring and one-note, in contrast to Anna who has just become the most interesting for sure with her amazing display of emotion this episode. That part was one of the most believable – and one of the best- parts I’ve seen on this show. I have constantly found Morena’s character to be well-acted and intriguing, as well as compelling, etc.. Lisa is also very interesting. But Joshua.. when he got shot I actually got excited that they had killed him off to leave room for more interesting characters, and so bringing him back felt like a cop-out. That felt very unsatisfying.
I had to leave this comment because I disagree with basically everyone on here about Joshua and his acting ability.. I have found him to be nothing special while I have been enjoying this show.
I’m very excited for the next season; I love this show!!
I definitely disagree with you. Joshua actually accomplished and succeeded more than the Fifth Column on earth did. In fact he’s my favorite character on the show and well liked by alot of viewers as well. If he died off I would be disappointed, maybe not even tune in that much next season. I’m serious when I say that. As for the actor himself, he’s doing a fine job as a solemn but sensitive Fifth Column ally who has to play it safe with Supreme Commander Anna. I really like what he’s brought to the show so far, so I hope they continue it. If anyone was to be “killed off fore more interesting characters”, it should be Tyler because so far he’s doing nothing to make me care about him.
to add something else, I think the writers do have something coming up for Joshua and Marcus, which is why I wanted to have the character come back. It beats having the Fifth Column human group come up with one flawed plan after another, or sitting through another insufferable Tyler/Lisa romance scene. Oh and also have Lisa interact with Joshua more because I think they work great together.
I totally agree, Joshua is one of the best character of the show. I’m glad they brought him back to life.
He and Lisa have amazing chemistry. I hope Lisa helps Joshua escape from the medical bay.
Well, she’ll jolly well have to. The writers wouldn’t bring him back only to kill him off–unless the actor’s contract negotiations break down over the summer. (Anything is possible along that line.) And the way the story arc is shaping up, Lisa will definitely need Joshua on her side. Because it really will be *her* side–for what we have here is a civil war between mother and daughter, with the fate of two intelligent kinds–humanity and V-kind–in the balance.
I want Anna to be rick rolled during one of her announcements.
there won’t be another season the global elite have shown there hand. Global nuclear war, with fallout for all. The red sky was there last card and will be played out before our eyes and next season.
i’d join!!! 1 Million Strong in Support of Firing Everyone on V Except for the Actor Who Plays Joshua.
I disagree. We at least need to keep Morena Baccarin and Laura Vandervoort, who play Anna and Lisa, respectively.
I think Scott Wolf needs to have his “Christine Walsh” moment. You know–”Reptiles! They must be fought! They must be defeated! AHHHhhh…!” Just get him off the set.
Tyler has his purpose, though I’ve not quite decided what that best purpose might be. Maybe his death will trigger Erica–and perhaps Lisa, too–to unleash their own primal energies in a fight-to-the-death with Anna. Somehow I’m not entirely sure that either Tyler or Lisa will be content in a relationship in which the girl is–er–for lack of a better word–considerably–er–stronger.
There were several doctors working on Joshua to bring him back. Was one of them the lady V docter who was originally helping Val? (That’s who I thought it was.) If she was, then it would give a lot more credibility to the idea that Marcus is Fifth Column, and that the Fifth Column brought Joshua back.
I didn’t recognize that other doctor. Then again, I’m horrible with faces. But if that really was that lady V doctor, then how could she get back aboard? WOuld Marcus be brazen enough to vouch for her that way?
I still say that Marcus’ next word, after “Welcome back,” is: “Talk.”
that was not dr pearlman
i love this series
Ahhh! There is someone else who notice the soundtrack. It must be from John Murphy~ Love his music.
Keep Joshua! He’s such a great character… he should have more dialogue.
I would love to see more scenes between him and Lisa, they have such amazing chemistry!
Morena Baccarin is doing an Awesome job playing Anna. I Love Anna and Erica.
Tyler is the worst character ever. He shoul be eaten by the Vs.
Please kill the son off soon…he is annoying us all into defecting to the Vs.
when will the new season start…anyone knows…? plz help!
V is returning November 2010, and with a new character, Anna’s mother, who’s name is [drum role] Diana played by [don't faint now] the same actress from the original series, Ms. Bader!
finally somebody who knows eraserhead… epic!
haha don’t care much for the show but that reference made it worth it.
In my opinion, I think the directors and producers dis a fantastic job resurecting this series. Baccarin is AMAZING as Anna as was shown in the season 1 finale when she blows her top. She is gorgeously Sinister. I thought the effects were fantastic. Most Sci/Fi shows now adays use mostly CGI. Keep in Mind that when ST:TNG came on in the late 80′s, the first 2 seasons were mediocre at best and this is coming from a loyal Star Trek Fan. But as the show progressed, and its popularity increased, the effects got MUCH better. I think the same will happen here. Season 1 was a test and it passed, I think, with flying colors. I will definitely watch Season 2!!!
You have to take into account though, most V’s are hopelessly devoted to their queen. Having security equipment would prove useless in a world where .000001% of the people committed crimes.
