I love when Jules and Laurie were at the coffee shop, bought one donut, each took a bit and threw it out! Sooo true! Just a little taste to do the trick! ha!

  • Ally

I loved the scene where Jules was carrying Travis away from football practice screaming never again. And then the call-back to that with Andy carrying Bobby was genius!

My friend Kelly (the one who looks like Laurie) is obsessed with huge lady hats.
“Drinking keeps you skinny” is my official new life motto.
Taye Diggs’ smile really DOES light up the world!
Was it ever revealed if that was the right red balloon?

I LOVED the part where they played musical beers, and Grayson sat down and didn’t get one, so he stuck his finger in Bobby’s, swirled it around, and wiped it on Bobby’s shirt.

      MEEEE TOO!

Re: the name not fitting any more……I remember in the pilot, their town is the “home of the Cougars” which I think is the high school mascot. So, I don’t think that it always has to be about women “Cougars”.

Also, has anyone else noticed that all the titles are Tom Petty songs? What are they gonna’ do when they run out? lol

this is one of the most genuinely enjoyable shows on tv. last night was great, i love that bill lawrence isn’t afraid to couple people up – i am loving jules and grayson together. your assessment of their exchange in bed misses the mark though. it was great because grayson totally copped to the ridiculous dude move of trying to score when it is inappropriate. “my fault for trying”. loved it!

I love this show. Was that a 1981 yearbook Travis pulled out though? If Jules is only suppossed to be 40 Then she would have graduated circa 1988. Still loved the Bruce picutre though.

    • Nikki

It said ’88, b/c I remember thinking that she only graduated 2 years before me, but seems so much more mature. hahaa

You have to love a family that will just get up from an important event and go chase a balloon.

Jules: If it’s on the internet…
    Everyone: IT MUST BE TRUE!

…I didn’t start watching the show from the beginning because of its name, and I still dislike it(the name), but I’ve started watching like 3 episodes ago and OMG it’s a great funny show, and I think Jules loudness(that reminded of Monica, not in a good way)) has been dialed down quite a bit…the show is worth it alone for Ian Gonzalez and the kid that plays Travis…

When Elle jumped on the car to scare Andy, I was cracking up. I agree, they do have to change the title, badly. I think when they were promoting it, they kept showing Jules with that younger boy so everyone thought the show was going to be about older women chasing younger men and it isnt. I actually love this show more than Modern Family.

    • Anna

Me too! It’s SO funny. I love Ellie and Andy so much.

  • Gata

I love Modern Family (thanks Ellen DeGeneres for turning me on to that), I don’t know who first mentioned Cougar Town to me, but I am glad I tuned in.

    My must see TV now…

Modern Family, Cougar Town, and Bones.

  • Nathan

I LOVE Cougartown, and I LOVE even more how they went “there” with that photo of Courtney and Bruce Springsteen. Modern Family and Cougartown, two very different comedies, but I get so many laughs out of both of them.
