I have always seen Marisa Tomei as Stephanie. I think all us hard core Plum fans are going to have to stretch our vision to see our friends portrayed by someone else, but we’ll adjust.
Sunjata is the perrrrrfect fit. In fact, the best fit of the three. He has mad range, serious acting chops, and he smolders every screen he appears on. So sexy! age isn’t a factor. He looks 25 anyway. And flat out gorgeous. Long overdue. He has got the macho thing down from his turn on Rescue Me. Glad to see him moving up. He’s such a fu@king movie star!

I could get past that guy as Ranger but Morelli? Come on. I always pictured Peter Facinelli as Morelli. Or someone of his stature and age.

“That guy” is the clearest and best choice out there. Sunjata is the perfect ranger. Does he have a Twitter?
I am a rabid fan of Janet Evanovich and this series. I have read each book at least three times. I m sorry, even though I am sure these actors are great, but I have NOT agreed with any of the casting. I really don’t see any of them fitting the characters.
I am still trying to wrap my head around Heigl – horrible pick in my book but trying to get to the point where I can actually go and see the movie. Sanjata is a good pick for Ranger. O’Mara, not at all.
Although I love Betty White, Cloris Leachman could pull off Grandma Mazur. As long as its not Doris Roberts (who I love but is wrong for GM).
Raven Simone should be considered for Lulu. She’s a bit on the young side but she is hysterical! further, if Sandra Bullock was too old then Mo’Nique and Queen will be pulled out of the running.
really? Heigl as Stephanie? I can’t even imagine it. This has to be the worst job of casting ever.

Both of these guys are good choices…but Heigl? Sorry, no way. I love all of this series and I hope they make more of these movies. You have to take this into consideration when you’re talking about who to cast as Grandma Mazur, too. She’s Stephanie’s grandmother…NOT great-grandmother!!! Betty White is old enough to be her great-grandmother folks..and, unfortunately, might not be around for the sequals
A younger actress is needed for the part…do the math folks. You’re looking for an actress in her early 70′s.
I’m a little disappointed. I love this series and was really looking forward to a film adaptation. I’m the fence about Katherine; she doesn’t really have the look but she’s a talented actress and am sure she can pull it off. Definitely a bust on Jason O’Mara as Joe from both ends. Daniel Sunjata is a great fit.

i’m OK with the male casting choices, but i am NOT OK with heigl as stephanie. not. ok.
We forget, maybe the script was shown to other actors & actresses and it was turned down. If they don’t feel is going to benefit their careers they wont do it. I was thinking of Dr. Sheppard (MC Dreamy) or Dr. Sloan (MC Steamy) from Grey’s Anatomy, for Morelli, hahahaha! Might as well keep it going, plus they have the chemistry already going from the set.
