Terrence Howard will play Nelson Mandela, Toby Jones is a 'Captain America' villain (Excess Hollywood)

Filed under: News and tagged: , ,
  • Terrence Howard has been tapped to play a young Nelson Mandela in the biopic Winnie, which also stars Jennifer Hudson. This means, of course, that Don Cheadle will be tapped to replace Howard as an aged Mandela in the sequel. [Variety]
  • Toby Jones, the actor who played Truman Capote in Infamous, will play villain Arnim Zola in Captain America. Luckily Jones knows a little about playing evil. [THR]
  • Sopranos actor Michael Imperioli will star in Foreclosure, a horror-thriller inspired by the mortgage crisis with the tagline “ghosts don’t move out.” Why would they, when Imperioli knows exactly where to get the best cannoli? [THR]
  • Jason Priestly will direct Mud Puppy, a film about “a playboy wine-lover battling a female environmentalist for control of a frog-plagued wine vineyard.” I see South Park‘s manatees are hard at work again! [THR]
  • Attack of the Show will get a spin-off on G4 that will follow the two hosts as they conduct “wacky science experiments.” The show will be called It’s Effin’ Science, and includes experiments like blasting a Port-a-Potty 100 feet in the air. This experiment has its own spin-off, It’s Effin’ Poop with Dave Matthews. [THR]
