Abrams told New York Magazine that his new project, Super 8, is not a Cloverfield sequel or prequel — despite the fact that it reportedly has a similar amateur-footage, non-human-creature premise. We’ll all get a peek at whatever it is tomorrow, when the Super 8 trailer debuts in front of Iron Man 2 (Abrams confirmed that the top-secret clip was sent to theaters in canisters that could only be opened with a special code), so let’s start speculating! Could this in fact be the Spielberg-Abrams collaboration announced last week? Something completely different? What are your best theories, PopWatchers? I guess I’ll check back here later today or tomorrow cause I definitely didn’t get a Super * preview before the press screening of Iron Man 2 Tuesday night!!! But since there are midnight showings I’m guessing we’ll be hearing more about Super 8 later tonight or tomorrow at the latest….

A promo for the Lost finale…
I won’t be going to any Cloverfield sequels. The first one made me nauseous. I had to keep my eyes closed during the whole thing due to the jerky/spinning camera work. I didn’t walk out on the movie only because I was with my boyfriend. If I had been by myself, I would have asked for my money back, because there was no warning.
Come on. There was a prequel to Cloverfield. It was called GODZILLA! :-p

as a HUGE fan of Lost, and someone who enjoyed Cloverfield, I was actually on the fence about seeing Iron Man 2. Now I will definitely go, even if only to see the preview for this new film.
