They’re going to turn this around for a happy ending. I’ll be seeing the finale in the Orpheum Theater in Lost Angeles. It’s going to be sweet!
Not sure if anyone’s mentioned it yet, but a great final scene for the show would be Jack, as the new Jacob, and Claire, as his evil sibling (just came up with this switch now — always thought it would be Sawyer as the new MIB) sitting on the beach looking out at sea. Claire says, “Do you have any idea how badly I want to kill you . . . ” I still really like the idea of Sawyer being there instead of Claire because he wants so badly to leave the island (just like the man in black) but with the Jacob and Essau parallel, I’m now condsidering Claire.
At first I was mad Jin didn’t leave the sub for his daughter…but in reality, he was dead either way…he never would have recovered from leaving Sun in the sub and he would have walked the rest of his days as a zombie. That would be worse for his daughter in the end…
We all might be wasting our time mourning the dead here. I speculated the other day that JAcob and MIB were playing their game using the islanders as “playing pieces”. If that’s true, maybe the people who die aren’t really bdead – they’ve just been moved out of play, so to speak. Thus, Michael was only telling half the truth when he said that the voices were those who couldn’t move on – not because they’re really ghosts, but because like captured chess pieces, they no longer particpate in the game. Which, of course makes it pretty odd that they can still talk to those who ARE still in the game. Unless, of course, it’s because they still have a stake in the game.
Desmond is not evil — he ran over Locke in order for him to get to the hospital and make the connection with Jack–to fulfill whatever that destiny is. Desmond gets it now and is making all the connections between the Oceanic people in the sideways world.
Sun and Jin’s death so shocking! i kept thinking they are going to get out, they can’t die. But they did and I cried. It was so heart wrenching when a show can do that to you, touch you so deeply you know the Lost staff has done there job right.
