On today’s Ellen Degeneres Show, American Idol‘s Andrew “Am. I. A. Page. In. Your. His. Tor. Y. Book?” Garcia ripped off his jacket to execute a full-twisting handstand. Where was this rare talent all season? He surely could have pulled it out during “Forever” and the judges would have gushed and gushed. Randy would say “You know? I mean. I’m telling you! Baby? I love you. Yeah, it was hot!” Then it would be Mary Murphy’s turn: “Waaaaaaaahhhhhh-oww!” Mary would chime in. Guest judge Lil C would just glare at Andrew and then deliver spoken-word poetry about, like, labor laws. And Simon would just walk out. Watch Andrew perform “Sunday Morning” after the jump. Kim Kardashian nude and unretouched for 'Harper's Bazaar'
Having already seen Kim Kardashian nude AND touched in the “leaked” tape with Ray J some years back, the mere fact that we have Queen Kardash naked is not that exciting. Far more interesting is that these nude Harper’s shots of Kardashian, Parenthood‘s Joy Bryant, and British actress-photographer Amanda de Cadenet are being touted as “unretouched.” If you remember, Jessica Simpson did a makeup- and retouch-free Marie Claire spread, which hit the Internet last week. So do we have a retouch-free trend on our hands? (Or, following Kara’s nude shoot earlier this week, perhaps a nude-celebrities-in-magazines trend? Let’s hope….)
The Kardashian shot is too posed for my taste. It looks like a knock-off of that famous Richard Avedon photo of Nastassja Kinski lying with a conveniently positioned snake — only minus the snake, which is what made that photo so interesting. I sort of love Bryant’s shot, though. She has a cocky-yet-vulnerable look that emphasizes the untouched, what-you-see-is-what-you-get idea behind the shoot. Cadenet just looks embarrassed, like we interrupted her in the middle of a personal moment involving that cord she’s holding. (Check them all out at Harper’s.)
Which is your favorite, PopWatchers? Are you digging the retouch-free trend? How about the nude celebrity magazine shoot trend?

'Survivor: Heroes vs Villains': Ousted Villain discusses Russell, J.T., and immunity idol madness
What was J.T. thinking by giving away the immunity idol? What kind of stuff does Russell like to chat about around camp that we don’t see? And could Coach look any more hilarious at Tribal Council? These are the questions we posed to Courtney Yates when we chatted with the latest ousted Villain (and EW.com favorite) this morning. Read on after the jump to get the skinny (get it?) on what Courtney has to say about her time on Survivor: Heroes vs Villains. READ FULL STORY »
'SNL' in the 2000s: Which sketches did you love reliving? Wah-wah....
Last night’s Saturday Night Live special “SNL in the 2000s” brought back a bunch of fun memories, pop-culture awareness, real-culture awareness (a real coup for me on a Thursday night), proof of Horatio Sanz before he became a supermodel, etc. The best part of the two-hour retrospective for me was the segment recalling “Debbie Downer at Disney World.” After the jump, relive the giggle fest before Mad Cow Disease ravages your brain. Clip du jour: 'The Wizard of Dogz'
Look at these adorable pooches reenacting The Wizard of Oz. It’s a promo for the U.K.’s Over the Rainbow contest series, in which Andrew Lloyd Webber and a panel of judges cast a Dorothy and a Toto for an Oz revival. Ugh, why aren’t there more reality contest shows about dog cuteness? READ FULL STORY »
Julia Roberts falls for Javier Bardem in 'Eat Pray Love'
Image Credit: Francois DuhamelJulia Roberts didn’t quite get it when she found out Javier Bardem would be playing her love interest in the big-screen adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert’s soul searcher Eat Pray Love. “I couldn’t get the image of him in No Country for Old Men out of my mind,” she says of Bardem’s Academy Award-winning portrayal of a flat-eyed killer with a blunt pageboy. “And that’s not really what you want to be thinking about going into some situation where you want to create a chemistry.” READ FULL STORY »
'The Real Housewives of New York' recap: There's a new housewife in town
Image Credit: Mitchell Haaseth/BravoOn last night’s episode, we met the newest Housewife Sonja. Welcome Sonja! You are the ridiculousness—”I have a Miami closet and a Colorado closet and a Palm Springs closet”—this season has been lacking. LuAnn described Sonja, who divorced a rich man a few years ago and only showed wedding photos starring herself, as a “sexy pistol.” She has a table in her foyer where she apparently keeps framed photos of her sexy pistol conquests. Max (yes, that Max) was her go-to Thursday. Sonja gets needles plunged into her neck and she has a young assistant who dresses like Harry Potter and I picture lots of scenes with her discussing her conquests in her dressing gown at her makeup table. Plus, she told a great story about Ramona running off with her dress at a sample sale. “Look, a man!” I picture Ramona crying, as she pointed towards the dressing room, before shoving the Badgley Mischka under her arm and cat-walking over to the cashier. “What? I was just being honest. There was a man over there. How was I supposed to know she wanted this dress? It’s not her size. Look at her hips. What? What! Next time I just won’t say anything about how yellow isn’t her color.” READ FULL STORY »
This kid is in for a rude awakening when his next cubicle isn't flanked by a fun wraparound bench
I suppose this Young Explorer (just like Dora, but you don’t have to move!) playset from Little Tikes is a more realistic toy for developing useful life skills than, say, the Hannah Montana FM Wireless Microphone. Twenty years from now, Striped Shirt is probably more likely to man a systems hub of animated slot machines than become an ego-straddling pop star. But it’s really too soon to say. [Gizmodo]
I’m just jealous. Kid! Trade lives with me!
Who’s cube is better — yours or Striped Shirt’s? (If only he was wearing a denim vest.)

Paris Hilton joins Great Celebrity Break-Up Week 2010
Image Credit: Denise Truscello/WireImage.comWas there something contaminating the celebrity water supply this week? Seems totally plausible, considering that several high-profile stars, including Paris Hilton, Larry King, Mel Gibson, and Melissa Etheridge, parted ways with their loved ones in the last several days. I mean, these kinds of break-ups — especially when you consider someone like Paris Hilton — happen all the time. But…what could have caused this cataclysmic celebrity mess? Tanner investigates here on PopWatch. READ FULL STORY »
'Grown Ups' trailer: This 'SNL' reunion looks like solid summer fun
The trailer for summer comedy Grown Ups has hit the ‘nets, and there’s only one thing to say: Holy SNL reunion! Well, there’s actually a lot more to say than that, of course, but the bulk of this cast is made up of beloved SNL players from years past: Adam Sandler, David Spade, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and Maya Rudolph all turn up! And I must add, it’s great to see them all together. (Here’s a question I don’t have time to research: Were these five ever on the show together? My inclination is no, especially since Maya was a later add….)
When I initially read the conceit for the show — “a comedy about five friends and former teammates who reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach” — I was not enthralled. But I must say: It looks funny! Sort of like a wacky friend reunion, where everything you thought you knew about people goes out the window after seeing them together again after so many years apart. It’s a tad cheesy, sure — especially those awful sound effects when Kevin James (oh yeah, he’s in this too, as are Mario Bello and Salma Hayek!) slams into a tree on a rope swing and the whole bit at the end of the trailer with the blue water in the swimming pools. And there’s a toddler-who-still-nurses thing happening, which feels a tad tired. But I can honestly see myself going to see this on a lazy, possibly rainy Sunday this summer (it hits theaters June 25). READ FULL STORY »
