- Get ready to set your DVR, tweeners: On Sept. 3, the Disney Channel will premiere the Jonas Brothers-Demi Lovato movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. As long as it’s not grape-flavored, I’m in. [MTV]
- Ice Cube and Woody Harrelson are set to star in Rampart, a movie written by James Ellroy that’s centered on police corruption. Cube will play a detective, while Harrelson has bagged the role of a dirty cop. Not to be confused with dirty pop. (Early 2000s flashback!)
- Sarah Silverman is in talks to star alongside Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams in the dramedy Take This Waltz. According to Variety, “[The] story centers on a young woman (Williams) whose struggles with infidelity leads her to the realization that she may be addicted to the honeymoon period of her relationships.” No doubt Silverman will make a joke about the word “period” in that statement. [Variety]
- Universal announced they would be adjusting their (Philip K.) Dick adaptation’s release date: The Adjustment Bureau, which stars Matt Damon, has moved from July 30 to Sept. 17. [The Wrap]
- OMG, etc.: Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage have signed a two-year feature film deal with Paramount. [THR]
- Michael Seater, Emily Meade, and Bo Burnham have signed on to topline coming-of-age comedy Sin Bin. The film, which also stars Ben McKenzie, Jeff Garlin, and Tim Blake Nelson, follows a high schooler who loans out his van to friends hoping to get down and dirty. Because the Ford Focus is a mood killer. [THR]
- Last House on the Left‘s Sara Paxton will star The Innkeepers, a horror flick about a haunted hotel. And there goes my enthusiasm for my upcoming summer getaway! [THR]

“…the role of a dirty cop. Not to be confused with dirty pop.”
That is freaking hilarious.
NO COMMENT MY FAMILY IS JUST VERY IMPATIENCE TO SEE CAMP ROCK 2 NOW SO PLESSE
My kids are impatient too and worried because we read that Disney Channel may not be available on Time Warner Cable because of some negotiations. This may be the final straw for us to change to satellite but fingers crossed.
